Few skaters can claim to have made their mark on history more than Japan's Mao Asada. ㅤALYSANNE CARREÑO, the breakthrough of the 2025-2026 ladies' figure season and only venezuelan skater in the world! did you know the VFSA was created to allow her to compete internationally?
ㅤㅤㅤㅤborn and raised in venezuela, alysanne didn't step on ice until she was seven years, a week after she moved to the uk. I know what you're thinking, “how the hell did she win the olympics if she started late for an elite skater?” you see, my child: alys comes from a very active family, the first time she was introduced to a sport (swimming) was when she was only one year old, and as she grew up she couldn't stay still for more than two seconds, so, in order to drain the amount of energy she had, her parents also signed her up for ballet, gymnastics and baseball.
ㅤㅤㅤㅤfast forward to february 2014, her mother was watching the ladies' figure skating, alysanne was playing with her ds, next to her. at some point, a piano called her attention, the child raised her head and was hypnotized by yuna kim skating to adiós nonino for 4 minutes and 10 seconds. since then, she started to annoy her parents, asking them to sign her up for figure skating; sadly for alysanne, in her country the sport is not practiced, so she was signed up for inline skating instead. and after that she never took those skates off.
ㅤㅤㅤㅤwhen they finally moved to the uk in 2017, the first she did, basically, was running to the closest ice rink to her house. during her first lesson, she had a impressive fast progress, attracting the attention of her now coaches, the rest is history.
ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤTHE 2025-2026 SEASON; the debut as senior
ㅤㅤknown for her complicated step sequences and musicality, the already once junior world champion dominated the entire season. after the olympics she announced that she would take a break for the rest of the year and then the next one in order to enjoy her last years of high school.

I forgot to mention that, but let's say it was because script requirements, okay? the student exchange started in april of 2025, when she met ryuji sakamoto, a fellow classmate and track runner, who she warmed up to really fast to, especially after kamoshida destroyed the track team.
ㅤㅤㅤㅤfast forward (again) to april 13, 2026. first day of 2nd year. it's 12 pm, school ends at 16:30, and for some reason ryuji is absent, which is... weird, at the very least.
ㅤㅤㅤㅤturns out, the guy was in a palace, where kamoshida was also at and he nearly killed ryuji and the new guy from another class.
ㅤㅤㅤㅤthe confusion didn't last for long, because a week later, she entered the metaverse too.

you have complete control of your body while skating, it'll never betray you; you never fall, maintain speed and have excellent control when skating on one foot.
you have strong and centered spins. you rotate in a speed that has not been seen in the sport in while while maintaining your flexibility; on top of that your transitions are impeccable and strong.
when it comes to jumping you have textbook technique, maybe the ISU should start using you as example in the guide.. you have good height, excellent air position, stable lading, no excessive pre-rotation, no under-rotation and good jump travel. oh, and you can do and land ultra-c elements without any problems.
you have exceptional step sequences, they are usually level 4 and you're able to match each movement to the music.
