These ‘safe zones’ for the ocean help fish populations bounce back, support the people who rely on the sea, and even help fight climate change. And the benefits don't stop at their borders; they ripple out into the wider ocean too.

the diuca finch (diuca diuca) is a small passerine bird - actually a member of the tanager family, not a true finch - found in south america. they are common through the foothills of chile and argentina, where they are often found along gravelly roadsides, stony slopes, or browsing lawns or other grassy areas like fields. their natural habitat is primarily subtropical or tropical dry shrubland, and they also occupy degraded former forest areas. they are typically found in small flocks, often intermingling with other small, seed-eating species. both sexes are gray overall, with bright white markings on the throat, belly, and the corners of the tail.
