“Chicken nightmares! Y’know, you’re actually the second person who’s told me that they have chicken nightmares.” She doesn’t understand it herself, but she’s plenty biased from having been born and raised on a farm. “Don’t worry, though! I promise she won’t hurt you. She’s a real sweetheart, just a little bit gluttonous.”

Willow smiles as Luna asks if chickens can have muffins or sugar. “As much as Edie would love for me to say yes, unfortunately neither of those are great for her little chicken tummy. Thank you, though! That’s real sweet of you to offer, with those chicken nightmares and all.”

"Oh my god, I’m so glad to hear because here I was thinking that I was the only one but thankfully this other person has proven I’m not going completely insane,” she mused with relief in her tone. She didn’t even know who had said it but that wouldn’t stop her from feeling grateful they existed. Still keeping her arms close to her body as well as being slightly stiff, her eyes looked down at the hen, “Well... if you’re sure...” Slowly, she straightened herself as her arms fell to her side despite remaining at a distance from the chicken. “You’re welcome but a part of me now feels a bit bad because she’s just staring at me now like I just broke her heart. Still terrified but.. I’m only human. What can she eat exactly?”

There was a smile on her face as she looked at Luna, tucking her hair behind one of her ears and listening to the other woman speak. “Well, if she was thinkin’ that far ahead then I’d better gon’ ahead ‘n enroll her into a special school or somethin’ to completely hone in on her powerful lil’ mind.” Obviously joking as she reached up to give Camille’s a light pinch. “N thank ya, she is a ‘lil cutie if I must say so myself. Even if I have a lot to do with that cuteness.”

Despite being able to tell that it was a joke, Luna only nodded her head as if she was fully encouraging Honey’s choice for her daughter, “I completely support this decision because you could possibly have yourself a child genius on your hands and she just has to reach her full potential. It would almost be a crime if she didn’t.” Laughing softly, she shrugged a shoulder, “Well, it clearly shows and I’m sure she’ll be just as cute as you when she’s all grown up. And as someone who believes that babies are able to be... on the less cute side of life, this is a big compliment from me.” She was half joking except for the fact that she thought some babies could be ugly. She wasn’t proud of it but her eyes saw what they saw.

“Well, you’re not wrong. A lot of people do like usin’ them for decorations,” Scarlett replied, shrugging her shoulders. “Crystals actually interact with your body’s energy field to promote physical, emotional and spiritual healin’. They’re great.”

There was skepticism riddled all over her face as she tried to figure out how crystals could do something like that by just being crystals. Were all crystals enchanted like this? What did the colors mean? Her head swirled with thoughts as she finally opened her mouth, “But how? How do they know? Is there books on this? Is every different kind of crystal for a completely different purpose? I have so many questions!”

“Honestly, it doesn’t. It’s worth it because not breaking in your pointe shoes properly can be dangerous,” She explained, looking back down to the pair in her lap. “If they don’t fit you correctly you can slip on stage and get bad blisters.” Despite all her injuries, she had never been injured from breaking in a pair of shoes. “By the time I’m done with them they look like a completely different shoe,” she laughed. 

"I never really expected ballet to be that dangerous but I am somehow pleasantly surprised by it since now I can hold it to a higher level than I did before,” she spoke almost matter of factly since she’d never given ballet a second glance. Now? She respected it. “Will they really? That’s insane. Is there a particular reason why they have to be changed so often? And you can’t just use the same pair always?”

“I mean it sounds like she has a pretty wonderful life, though. If she’s happy and healthy then that’s the main thing, right?” Elle assured her. “I’m trying not to give in too much, but I can’t resist her. Think I’ll leave the training to Kiran.”

"Definitely the main thing until you get home from a stressful work day and she doesn’t really understand that you’re tired and wants to spend hours playing fetch. Which I understand but sometimes it’s like what have I done.” She wasn’t aiming to scare Elle so she continued, “I’m sure you’ll learn soon enough! Training is horrible but it’s also a lot of fun.”

“They were really horrid about my hair.  Nothing wrong with blonde or brunette but I happen to like mine red however they decided to tell me they didn’t in no uncertain terms.”

"Why on earth would someone make sure an antiquated comment about your hair? Have they not seen the amount of people that dye their hair every month to achieve that color?” Tilting her head, Luna held up some strands of her own hair which was far from a normal color, “My hair is literally lilac purple. This should get horrid comments, not that,” she mused as she motioned towards Maisie. “I say embrace the red and everyone else can truly fuck off. Like... why are they trying to live your life as if it’s theirs?”

Santiago hated admitting it to himself, but the woman was right. His online date was obviously not going to show. This was the last time he would ever try such a thing. “I-you’re right. Sorry. Uh, can I get…a sweet tea and the chicken enchilada dinner?”

Pulling her pen from behind her ear, she was soon writing down his order and nodding her head slowly but she didn’t exactly rush off since she was now curious what his story truly was. “I’ll make sure to get that for you as quickly as I can. It may be bold of me to say but I wouldn’t let this little thing you had get you in low spirits. Maybe you simply dodged a good bullet and spared yourself a headache.”

“I think I’m ‘bout to be livin’ in a cool shower whenever I get home. I don’t know if I can get behind the whole oatmeal thing though. Somethin’ ‘bout the consistency makes me gag even at the sight of oatmeal, so a whole bath full of it?” Bo shook his head before wincing at the thought. “Is this… do I have me some pure aloe vera? ‘Fraid I’m not sure of the difference. I think I’m realizing that over manufactured stuff’s got some secrets that makes it not as good as the real stuff, yeah?”

"I don’t see the harm in that. And if you really want to be extra; a cool bath would work perfectly. I’m not the most avid eater of oatmeal but I can understand the distaste towards it since it can be quite a peculiar consistency at times even though I’ve essentially seen people eat it as a type of soup.” Laughing softly, Luna only shook her head, “Any of that probably has aloe vera as long as you make sure that it’s in the very first few slots of the ingredients list since it means it has high qualities. What I meant more specifically was the aloe vera leaf. The long green thing? Normally costs three dollars?”

“The one with all the little dinosaurs. Little Foot? Remember him? The plots all kinda blur together on most of ‘em, s’ the first one that everyone usually remembers, when they’re tryin’ to find the Great Valley.”

"Little foot?” She repeated, eyes narrowing and mouth slightly agape as she tried to place the description to a movie but soon enough it was as if a lightbulb was going off in her head, fingers snapping in the process, “Is this the one where the little dinosaur’s left an orphan? Like... it was kind of like Bambi but instead it had dinosaurs? If it was; I specifically remember crying when his mom died because it just felt so unfair since he was but a little baby.”

The condescending manner Luna said ‘cute’ made Emily frown. “You’d be surprised at how effective sex is, but if it doesn’t work for you…” She trailed off shrugging her shoulders.  The blonde raised her brows at Luna. “Sounds like you need better time management, babe. There’s tips and tricks for it on the internet, I think.” Emily gave her a wide smile. “I can Google some websites for you if you’d like.”

"Oh, it doesn’t surprise me in the slightest but on a personal level, it just isn’t for me. Sex is sex, it happens. But if you’d said, I don’t know, and that’s why I plan to kill you then I would have been like oh my god what.” She clarified as she looked up at the younger girl. “But do they actually work? I’ve tried searching on places like pinterest and I never seem to find anything that isn’t just setting multiple alarms. And I am not one to turn down the help so if you’re willing to do it, by all means.”

Flo paused and scrunched her eyebrows together as she thought about Gertie’s age before shaking her head violently. “I thought about it and now I hate myself.” She watched Luna, taking a sip of her drink as the other girl made her shot. “They really are good at it. Like, if I don’t know what’s going on in my life, I know they probably do.” Flo did a lap around the table and squinted as she got level to eye the balls. Maneuvering slightly so she was bent over, she popped the white ball sending one of her balls sinking and another just narrowly missing going in. She cursed slightly and straightened up. 

"You and me both,” she said as she felt a shiver run up her spine as she tried to think of something else to erase the image she herself had planted. Leaning against her cue stick as it rested against the floor, Luna tucked a strand of hair behind her ear as she nodded along, eyes glued to the table as she watched Florence make her next move. “Imagine living in a world where you can’t seem to keep up with your own life that you rely on others, it shouldn’t be normal but it’s almost as if anything but wouldn’t be normal in return. When I lived in Italy, people would just stick to themselves and I found it so peculiar.” The other woman had nearly gotten two in at once but Luna was certainly not that skilled as she examined the table, holding a glass to her lips as she took a sip in deep thought.

“Oh, really, that’s how that works?” Dot played along as Destiny explained to her, in some very mumbly words, that her and her sister came from storks to their door. Laughing, she glanced up at the nearest person to them in the park, “Did you here that? All babies come from storks.” // @frostfordstart​

Laughing softly at the little girls words, Luna found herself nodding along to encourage that already thriving creative spirit, “I heard and dare I say that it’s the very first time I’ve heard such a thing so now I feel super smart. I wonder if the storks pick if it’s a boy or girl at random or if there’s some law that says we get to pick.” She loved listening to children and the idea of children but any parent had nothing but her praises since she could never handle it. At least not currently.

Though Camille wasn’t speaking full words yet, she was fully pointing at what she wanted and snatching things off of the shelf from her secure seat on the shopping car if her mother got close enough, today was no different. “Oh my goodness, I am so sorry. She’s realizin’ that her hands are magical these days..” she said, realizing that her aforementioned daughter had literally reached over and took someone’s car keys. Honey took the keys back from Camille and held them out to the rightful owner, letting out a gentle sigh in the process. “I’m gonna have to teacher her that is not okay..” she’d truly hoped that the person wouldn’t be too upset at a one year old.

She’d felt the light tug on her keychain which didn’t really raise any suspicions in Luna up until they fully slipped out of her pocket. Turning around, she hadn’t quite been expecting a baby to be the culprit which was why she garnered an amused look once she heard the apologetic tone in Honey’s voice. “Consider it completely forgiven since it would just be blasphemous if I chose to get angry with a child who saw the phrase like taking candy from a baby and put her own twist to it. Besides, she’s far too cute to be mad at.”

“Did you know that you can’t really dance in these when they’re brand new like this? You’ve got to break them in,” Lucy said, briefly looking up from using a carpenter’s file to rough up the sole of her pointe shoes. “I usually have to step on them and slam them against a wall, too. It’s pretty violent…which probably sounds surprising. Thankfully I don’t go through twenty pairs in two months anymore.”

As she fiddled with one of the strings dangling from her jeans, Luna listened to Lucy’s words closely which almost felt like a foreign language. Much like most would think if she ever opened her mouth to shit talk old pageant things. If. “Wouldn’t that hurt you in the process? I understand that sometimes you have to go through pain to get something but for shoes? I could never.”

“I thought being a teacher would make me immune to puppy-dog eyes, but it turns out it’s very hard to say no to a whining golden retriever - and so she sleeps on our bed now… I don’t know how parents do it.” @frostfordstart​

“Oh, that’s the absolute worst! I remember when I first rescued Kida I thought that any time she started whining that I was doing something wrong, that I wasn’t cut out to be a dog parents because I didn’t know how to make it stop unless it was with hugs and treats. I’ve had her for a year now and she’s the most pampered dog to the point that half my living room is her own personal penthouse.”

It’s not uncommon to see Willow being tailed by a rotund little hen named Edie, but her feathered friend still likes to surprise her. This time Edie takes off in a waddling sprint, very intent on checking out what the nearest person has in their hands.

She makes her little chicken noises from their heels, while Willow laughs. “Please, you don’t have to give into her demands! She’s less threatening than she appears.”

Thanks to her excessively rigid upbringing and an overbearing control freak of a mother, Luna had never experienced certain things. One of which being farm animals. So, naturally, she’d developed a fear of most farm animals especially larger ones like cows. But chickens came close second which was why when she saw the small chicken at her feet, she let out a yelp and took a few steps back, hand placed on her chest. “Que porra e essa,” what the fuck. Looking at Willow, her brow furrowed, “As much as I want to believe you but I’ve had some nasty nightmares about chickens and myself stuck in a Prometheus situation and I am not risking it. ---Can... uhm... Do Chickens eat muffins? Or... like... sugar? That’s all I have.”
