And it feels like he’s back in that abandoned bookstore again. A pathetic, helpless kid. Back in those times when the twins would huddle on piles of blankets and cuddle for warmth. Every far off noise would send his eyes open, his body alert, and restless. Yoichi would move and shift, sometimes try talking to Zen for comfort, and eventually his brother would growl at him and pull his face into his chest. It deprived him of sight and the right to speak, but it worked enough that he’d quickly fall asleep clinging to Zen.
It seems then, no matter the ages they are, Yoichi always feels compelled to listen to his big brother.
