Personal Project, First shoot. Fatherson - Mash House.
Within my first shoot, my main goal was to take photographs from the crowd to make the viewer feel as though they were there with me. The Mash House was a good venue to try this in as there is no barrier or photo pit, meaning I had to take all my images from in the crowd. This can be hard in some venues as the rules may include only shooting in the photo pit, luckily this wasn't the case.Ā
In my plan, I also mentioned I would like to find my style and try out blown out highlights. Once trying this in my first shoot, I really enjoyed the soft feeling it added to my images and will continue to practice this whilst optimising my upcoming photoshoots.Ā
I originally went into this shoot assuming there would be 1-2 support bands alongside the main band, though because it was an album release gig - the band didn't have any support acts. This has caused a slight issue as I created my plan with the mindset of shooting multiple bands in one night, this shouldn't have any affect on my final images since I have applied for extra shoots incase I run into any problems like this.Ā
