how you made it harder for me when you saw i was already having a hard time. you saw how i was feeling. you saw i was struggling. i was already trying my best to carry it all, but instead of being gentle, instead of giving me a little comfort, you added more to what i was holding. it's like my pain didn't matter to you, like i didn't matter. and it hurt even more because it came from you. the person i trusted, the person i thought would be the first to understand me, the person i believed would care the most. i thought if anyone could see how much i was struggling, it would be you. i thought you'd be the one to show me that i didn't have to go through it alone. i thought you knew that when someone is already having a hard time, the last thing they need is more pain. i will never forget how you could have been the person to ease my burden, but instead, you chose to make it heavier.
