“In this story, I want them to grow individually and together because that’s what a relationship is. Or at least my idea of a relationship. There is gonna be moments where they are frustrated with each other (that’s where the fights will happen), but they learn to work through them.

However, they can’t do that alone. Major spoiler (or you have been knowing for a while but now it is confirm) they are going to get individual and couples therapy due to an event that pushed for this.

Julianne is the sunshine character, cheery bubbly. She is mature though when she needs to be. However, she does have the tendency to be the therapist friend which is Someone who is there for everyone but is unable to be there for herself because she doesn’t want to face the part of herself that she likes to push into the dark pits of her mind and soul. In this story I am hoping to be able to unravel the careful crafted bubbly exterior she puts all the time and show who she really is as a character. I am hoping I can portray it well along side with Walden, Barnaby, and the other cast regardless of how small or big of a role they play.”

“Hmmm they do get into arguments sometimes in the beginning, but that’s because they are getting used to each other.

Again we have to keep in mind that relationships are not perfect, there will be times when they do fight. But it’s not gonna be over petty shit or dumb misunderstandings.

They don’t really argue often that’s due to the fact that Julianne is understanding of Walden and how he is, before they got into a relationship they started off as colleagues to friends then slowly but surely to couple/marriage. Like I said before relationships take time especially for people who have been through stuff in their life and have been given the proper environment and support that will allow them to grow by themselves and with each other.”

Day 3 - Rain 🌧️

Rainy days were Julie and Wally's favorite because they gave them the perfect excuse to invite all their neighbors out for grass sledding. Everyone would bundle up, throw on goggles, slip into trash bags, and grab whatever they could use to slide down the hill. Old baking sheets, pieces of cardboard, laundry baskets, and even wagon lids became makeshift sleds for the afternoon.

Before long, the friendly competition would begin. Someone always kept score, even if the rules changed every five minutes (cough cough Julie cough cough Sally cough). The winners earned a free baked treat from Poppy along with a twenty percent off coupon to eat at Howdy's place, which only made everyone even more determined to win.

They usually paired off into teams:

Eddie and Frank

Frank was never particularly fond of getting dirty. They preferred things neat, orderly, and tidy, and mud stains were far from their idea of a good time. Still, for the sake of their friends and the person they loved, they did not mind compromising every now and then. By the end of the day, even they had to admit it was fun.

As evening settled in and everyone finally cleaned up, the neighbors would exchange their farewells before heading home for the night. Julie and Wally, however, always lingered a little longer. They would lie together in the damp grass, hand in hand, simply enjoying the feeling of the rain gently falling over them. Julie would softly hum a tune she remembered hearing from one of Wally's records, resting her head against his chest while listening to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat. And Wally? He would simply close his eyes and play with her damp, blonde locks. For a little while, the rain seemed to wash away every burden either of them carried, if only for the day.

When I think of Home from the Rainbow Factory au, I can't help but think of this audio. I had always assumed that Home would be the factory itself.

In fact, l explore this concept in the second fanfiction where Home is the factory, and people wouldn't realize it unless they ventured into the underground levels.
