Hey everyone! I was tagged by the wonderful @pickupbarr3 so:
10 people I'd like to get to know better
1. Last Song
2. Currently Watching
I am rewatching One Piece actually, I know people aren’t a big fan because of how long it is but it is good. I love the topics it touches upon and the development of the characters from the beginning to the present timeline. It gives me such nostalgia because I remember sitting down infront of the tv watching 4kids tv and watching an episode of it and Dragon Ball.
3. Currently Reading
Greek Mythology and Poetry. I am doing research for one of my AppleBlossom Fanfictions where I want to create a story of a Moon God falling in love with a flower nymph/possible Goddess of Spring.
4. Current Obsession
Oh cheese and crackers my obsession varies but I do love enamel pins. I am actually on planning on getting my own AppleBlossom enamel to be part of my collection.
5. Currently Working On
If I had time, I will finish the 5th version of the short story involving the Rainbow Factory Au and post it. Afterwards I want to work more on the AppleBlossom server.
6. Currently Wearing
I am in my pajamas, it’s still morning where I live. My pajamas always consist of t-shirt and shorts. I like being comfy.
7. Last Google Search
Ghost Shark Species
8. Favorite Flower
I love all flowers, but I adore cherry blossoms, sunflowers, and hydrangeas.
I am a bit shy in tagging people so if you come across this come join and if you would like to get to know me don’t be afraid to talk to me
Okay so I was going to analyze Julie's room. But I stared at Julie's house too long and now I have a crockpot theory. I'm going to sound absolutely insane when I say this
I think Julie's House is alive. Or at least once was alive.
Julie's house has a face-like frame that shared visual similarities to Home's face. While I was looking over her house I was thinking about how cluttered Julie's windows look compared to the other houses in Welcome Home. And I wondered about that design choice but then a possibility crossed my mind. What if Julie's House has hidden eyes can't see? The curtains and heart shutters keep the windows so conveniently covered that you could hypothetically imagine that there's eyes underneath those layers.
Okay so a step deeper into my theory, yes there's more.
I think Home and Julie's house are connected to each other. Possibly romantically.
They have matching heart rugs. The style of bushes are the same. The general shape of how Julie's house is structured feels similar to Home. There's heart shape smoke coming out of Home.
The insane claim I want to make is that I think Julie's house was supposed to be paired up with Home. And in that hypothetical context it would feel like Julie and Wally were paired up together before she got paired with Frank instead.
Also look at Julie's house, doesn't it look like the house is looking yearningly down at Home. It's so interesting that Julie's house is right behind Home. Maybe the hearts in the shutters elude to heart eyes. What if the curtain's are eyelids/eyebrows? It looks like a very 😟😔, kind of face??? You see what I mean???
wow we’ve started shipping The houses I love it!
"Aren't she just the most?"
"What a perfect 'dish'."
Art trade btw.
Cherry and Howdo
I’m thinking about calling my fanfic with the Darling sisters the “Darling Day AU” in reference to a potential unaired lost pilot episode for a spinoff involving the three girls, but that’s a topic for a different post.
For now, I have this miscellaneous idea where I want to give Howdo and Youdo Pillar (Howdy’s nephews who were introduced in Howdy’s Holiday Hullabaloo, the Christmas record found by the Welcome Home Restoration Project) a much bigger role in the AU.
I like to think the girls have their own little friend group that includes Enid (Frank and Eddie’s daughter) along with a few other characters I want to add later.
As you can see from the picture I just drew, Howdo is a little grumpy toward Cherry, but he likes her just fine. He just doesn’t appreciate it when she bothers him while he’s working.
Since we see him and his brother working at Howdy’s place in one of the commercials, I like to imagine it’s his part-time job. He gets really annoyed when people—cough cough Cherry—walk into the shop just to bother him instead of actually buying something.
But, in Cherry’s defense, she can’t tell a good joke to save her life because she has Julie’s sense of humor….
good luck Howdo… you’re gonna need it…
OK, more random Welcome Home thoughts.
You know, it’s always kind of bothered me when people say Wally x Julie makes no sense.
And to be fair, no ship with Wally makes 100% sense right now because, narratively speaking, there’s a non-zero chance that everyone except Wally is dead. It’s been a pretty common interpretation that he might be the only one still around (and Home too, I guess), especially since his bio is written in the present tense while the other neighbors’ bios are written in the past tense. 😬
So yeah. Lore-wise, things are… complicated.
But we also don’t actually know what’s going on yet. We don’t know exactly what happened to the neighborhood, whether Wally is evil, whether he’s trapped, whether the others are dead, or something completely different happened and they’re all still alive. There are still a lot of unanswered questions.
And when it comes to fanfiction and fandom, people take liberties with canon all the time. That’s kind of the point. Fans are constantly creating alternate interpretations, fixing timelines, changing circumstances, and exploring possibilities the source material never confirms.
So I really don’t think “it isn’t canon” is a particularly strong argument against any Wally ship.
Because honestly? Any ship with Wally can work if the writer puts in the effort. People will always find ways to explain why a certain character would be compatible with him.
Analysis aside, though, I actually think Wally and Julie would work really well together—and here’s why…
Reason number one: aesthetically speaking, they just look really cute together.
I know some people will ship characters just because they look good together, and honestly? That’s valid. But with Wally and Julie, I get this very late-70s couple energy like a very talkative girl and a guy who just quietly listens.
Even if you put their designs aside, they give off that “ADHD x autism duo” vibe, and I genuinely think that dynamic is really sweet.
Even in that picture, they look like they’re wearing matching sweaters without even trying. And I think that’s another point in favor of the whole cozy aesthetic they’ve got going on.
Reason number two: they are on the same wavelength.
You can’t really deny that both of them are a little bit ditzy in their own way. They tend to take things very literally, and it often feels like the other neighbors—especially Barnaby, Howdy, and sometimes Frank—end up having to step in and explain things to them.
Otherwise, they’ll just get confused.
In both Primrella and Sweetbriar, it kind of feels like Howdy has to babysit both Wally and Julie. I don’t know if that was intentional, but they definitely come across as a bit younger (at least mentally) compared to some of the other neighbors.
And from what we’ve seen in the source material, they actually get along just fine. Unless you read Wally as deliberately evil, I don’t think there’s really a fundamental issue with their dynamic.
The only argument I can really see against them is that they aren’t “that close” in canon but honestly, wouldn’t it be more interesting to explore them becoming closer over time?
Wouldn’t that make for a more compelling story than if they were just best friends from the start?
Reason number three… the Playfellow Workshop would’ve absolutely paired Wally and Julie together if they weren’t busy trying to force Frank into a lavender marriage…
This is probably the most out-there point, but it does make sense if you think about it. They would’ve likely paired the most prominent male-presenting and female-presenting characters together just for the sake of giving the main character a girlfriend. Yeah, it can feel a bit annoying now, but you have to remember a lot of older media worked on what was expected at the time.
Personally, I’m actually glad they didn’t go that route, because I don’t want it complicating Frank’s storyline or themes. And not to mention the theory that Julie might have a one-sided crush on Frank… which I really don’t want to think about because it makes me a little sad 🥹
But theories aside, it still makes sense that they could’ve been paired. From what I can tell, the ARG seems to position Julie as the most prominent female character, with Sally and Poppy appearing later on. I actually even have a theory that Sally and Poppy were added after Julie, but that’s a whole other rabbit hole I can go into if this post does well 👀
Either way, it tracks that a 70s-style kid’s show would want to give the main character a girlfriend just to fill that role. And Julie does kind of fit that mold—especially since, like I mentioned earlier, they already have that really cute matching aesthetic that would’ve looked perfect on a 70s Valentine’s card.
Kind of like Miss Piggy and Kermit… but less, uh… unstable, I guess.
At the end of the day, I just think these two are interesting.
I know a popular ship with Wally is Barnaby or Howdy, but from personal experience, I just don’t think either of them really vibe with Wally the same way someone like Julie—or even Frank, if you want to get technical—does.
And I don’t say this lightly, but I think Wally and Howdy are more of an aesthetic match than anything else. I know that sounds a bit counterintuitive because I literally just said some people ship characters purely for aesthetics. But I think that’s exactly what it is here: Wally and Howdy have a nice visual vibe together, but Howdy feels way more grounded and mature compared to Wally, which makes their dynamic feel less on the same wavelength.
Which is why I actually see more potential with Barnaby in some interpretations, depending on how you frame their personalities.
Now, I can understand why some people are hesitant about Wally x Julie because Welcome Home feels inherently queer-coded, and people are very protective of that. But honestly… haven’t we all kind of agreed that nobody in the Neighborhood is straight?
I refuse to believe Wally isn’t trans come on, look at him.
And if it bothers anyone that Julie is femme-presenting, I feel like it’s worth remembering that Julie is canonically genderfluid, and you could absolutely depict her in a more masc way too. There’s a lot of flexibility there.
We need more masc Julie, honestly.
so in conclusion …
I think they’re kind of neat

how do you think rf wally n rf julie celebrate father's day, or how would rf wally handle rf julie while pregnant?
┆❥ I will answer both hehehe :3
┆❥ For Father's Day, the little family of three has a cherished tradition. Much like Walden's birthday, the morning belongs entirely to him. It is one of the few days of the year when he is encouraged to do absolutely nothing. He gets to sleep in, enjoy a quiet morning, sip his coffee at his own pace, and eat a breakfast lovingly prepared by Julianne and Ophelia.
Every year, Ophelia insists on helping with the presentation. This year's breakfast features strawberries cut into tiny heart shapes, a generous pat of butter, maple syrup, and a steaming cup of black coffee on the side. The pancakes, however, are the real centerpiece. Instead of traditional circles, Ophelia makes them into atoms for a science-themed breakfast. Though the misshapen creations look more like Saturn with crooked rings than actual atoms, she is immensely proud of them.
She chose the theme after remembering the time she and Walden spent watching an episode of Bill Nye the Science Guy together and learning about atoms. Ever since then, she has been determined to recreate them in pancake form. Whether they resemble atoms or not is beside the point. To Walden, they are perfect.
The afternoon is reserved for family time. This year, they spend it painting together, an activity Ophelia picked up because of her father. She adores watching him work and loves every piece he creates, especially the ones that feature her and Julianne.
His paintings are always vibrant and full of life, capturing moments that might otherwise fade with time. Whenever Julianne sees herself reflected through Walden's eyes, she cannot help but grow flustered. Yet despite the warmth creeping into her cheeks, a fond smile always finds its way onto her lips as she watches him doing what he loves most.
By evening, after Ophelia has been tucked into bed with a story and a kiss on the forehead, the rest of the night belongs solely to Julianne and Walden. Together, they would make their way to the garden and settle onto the two-person porch swing nestled among the flowers. The air is cool and fragrant, carrying the scent of blooming jasmine and fresh earth. Above them, countless stars glitter across the night sky.
They spend hours stargazing, sharing stories, reminiscing about old memories, and talking about everything and nothing at all. A small bowl of snacks rests between them, occasionally forgotten as the conversation carries them elsewhere.
In those quiet moments, the rest of the world seems to fade away. There are no responsibilities, no worries, and no expectations only the two of them, wrapped in each other's company, enjoying the little world they have built together.
┆❥ If Julianne were to become pregnant, it would be both a joyous and nerve-wracking occasion for them. Walden would immediately dive into preparation, devouring books on pregnancy, parenting, and childcare. This was a familiar routine for him with Ophelia, except for the pregnancy books. Now, he was determined to refine his knowledge and ensure he hadn’t overlooked any crucial information. Every spare moment would be spent researching developmental milestones, proper nutrition, safe sleeping practices, and the most reliable baby products on the market. He would carefully compare cribs, car seats, strollers, and monitors, determined to find the safest and most efficient options for their growing family.
Beneath all of that preparation, however, lies a deep sense of worry. Walden would constantly think about Julianne's health, the baby's well-being, and whether he would be a good father (which he questioned before when Ophelia came into their lives). The responsibility of caring for such a small and precious life would weigh heavily on him. He would want everything to be perfect, even knowing that perfection is impossible.
Whenever his anxieties begin to overwhelm him, Julianne would gently reassure him. Running her fingers through his hair, she would listen patiently as he voiced every concern and fear. More often than not, Walden would rest his head against her stomach, his hand lingering there as if trying to feel the life growing within.
He finds the entire process fascinating. The idea that something created from the love they share is slowly growing and developing into a tiny person feels almost unreal to him. Every week brings a new milestone, a new fact to learn, and another reason to marvel at the miracle unfolding before them. Sometimes he catches himself simply staring at Julianne's growing stomach, struck by the realization that one day their child will be running through the house, calling them Mom and Dad. Something he hadn’t heard in a long time.
Throughout the pregnancy, Julianne would undoubtedly be pampered. Walden does his best not to become overbearing, though his protective instincts make that easier said than done. He ensures she takes her vitamins and supplements, prepares nutritious meals, keeps healthy snacks readily available, and encourages her to rest whenever she needs it. He buys comfortable clothing and supportive shoes, researches pregnancy-safe remedies for common discomforts, and even hires a cleaning service so she won't have to worry about household chores. If Julianne so much as mentions craving something, Walden is already halfway out the door to get it (not always since since he wants to watch out for her health but made sure to substitute it with something he knows she will like).
Side note: Julianne’s cravings are pretty tamed except for a few like wanting pickle chips with Nutella, watermelon with lime juice with chocolate, and ice cream with fries.
Despite occasionally teasing him for hovering, Julianne deeply appreciates the care and devotion he shows her during this time. She knows every act of service comes from a place of love. In return, she makes sure he feels just as supported as she does, offering reassurance when his worries get the better of him and reminding him that he does not have to carry every burden alone through her words, her affection, and the quiet moments they share together. Julianne makes certain that Walden knows he is already exactly the kind of father their child will need.

🌸🍒🫐 THE DARLING SISTERS! 🫐🍒🌸
When Julie decided it was finally time to move away from her family and start a life of her own, her siblings gave her a handful of very special seeds.
They told her that one day, when she found someone she wanted to spend the rest of her life with, they should plant the seeds together in their garden and start a little band of their own.
Years later, Julie found Wally.
Together, they planted the seeds in their garden, cared for them with love, and waited patiently for them to bloom.
And out popped the Darling Sisters!
Cherry, Merry, and Berry—the Neighborhood’s favorite little troublemakers and the newest generation of rainbow monsters 🌸🍒🫐💕
(unfinished doodle of a vinyl record cover)
Enjoy these little concept sketches I made for my Apple Blossom fankids!
If I were to fully integrate these characters into the world of Welcome Home—including the darker aspects of the ARG—I imagine the three of them would have been introduced unexpectedly later in the show’s run.
After all, I highly doubt the Playfellow Workshop (and by extension Ronald Dorelaine) ever expected the puppets to reproduce. So when Wally and Julie suddenly ended up with three daughters, the studio probably panicked and rushed to incorporate them into the series.
Naturally, they would’ve been heavily marketed as Wally’s daughters, appearing on everything from vinyl records and lunchboxes to plushies and dolls. In a darker interpretation, I imagine they would’ve had an upbringing similar to child actors…
And… well, we all know how that tends to turn out in real life.
I also don’t think Wally or Julie would be particularly thrilled about their children being treated like a product line.
That said, in a fluffier, less ARG-focused version of the story, they’re just three lovable little troublemakers who adore their parents, get into “harmless” mischief, and spend their days causing chaos around the Neighborhood.
Honestly, they’re just really cute and wholesome, and I had a lot of fun designing them 💕
More doodles of the Darling Sisters 🌸🍒🫐
Please enjoy this drawing of Wally’s little hellspawn.
I mean…
His darling daughters 😇💕
Wally gave birth…
Yeah, I ended up making AppleBlossom fan children 😭 I don’t even have names for them yet, but I’m thinking Cherry, Marry, and Berry in that order.
Originally there was only supposed to be one, but I accidentally made three.
But idk It’s implied that Rainbow Monsters bloom in bushels, so does that mean if Wally and Julie have kids they all just… bloom at the same time? Idk, I’m just running with the implication.
Also Julie is the youngest of her siblings because she bloomed last, so this makes sense in my head
