The US government is deporting undocumented immigrants back to Central America to face the imminent threat of violence, with several individuals being murdered just days or months after their return, a Guardian investigation has found.

The Guardian has confirmed three separate cases of Honduran men who have been gunned down shortly after being deported by the US government. Each was murdered in their hometowns, soon after their return – one just a few days after he was expelled from the US.

honestly? given the United States’ history of racism and prejudice towards minority/marginalized groups, you don’t even have to compare everything to Hitler. recently George Takei said that Trump’s attitude towards people who are Muslim is the same attitude from the 40s towards Japanese Americans. and I thought that was a brilliant comparison to make; it made sense, and it was coming from the mouth of someone who lived through that horrible tragedy. this is something that the United States government did to Japanese American citizens, but you guys want to compare Trump to something that a German dictator did to European Jews? this doesn’t sound like you care about us.

It started when Haiti passed a law two years ago raising its minimum wage to 61 cents an hour. According to an embassy cable:

This infuriated American corporations like Hanes and Levi Strauss that pay Haitians slave wages to sew their clothes. They said they would only fork over a seven-cent-an-hour increase, and they got the State Department involved. The U.S. ambassador put pressure on Haiti’s president, who duly carved out a $3 a day minimum wage for textile companies (the U.S. minimum wage, which itself is very low, works out to $58 a day).

Haiti has about 25,000 garment workers. If you paid each of them $2 a day more, it would cost their employers $50,000 per working day, or about $12.5 million a year … As of last year Hanes had 3,200 Haitians making t-shirts for it. Paying each of them two bucks a day more would cost it about $1.6 million a year. Hanesbrands Incorporated made $211 million on $4.3 billion in sales last year.

Thanks to U.S. intervention, the minimum was raised only to 31 cents.

But the president is in G20 right now. She is ignoring this situation and just using force to people.

Polices abused CN solution to people. Polices attacked  a ambulance, that injured people in it.

Why Self-Defense is a Part of Revolutionary Black Love

History reminds us that Black people in this country are consistently under attack. There’s been countless examples of white terror, from racist police and vigilantes participating in extrajudicial killings every 28 hours, to the bombings of NAACP offices, (we face unrelenting racial terrorism from Amerikkka). 

The continuous acts of violence upheld by the American (so-called) justice system make peace impossible. If white supremacists are going to attack peaceful organizers working for change, we all are under attack. 

If our unarmed youth playing at a park are going to be gunned down within 1.5 seconds, we all are under attack. 

If the American government can assassinate the peaceful revolutionary Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., we are all under attack. Furthermore, in preparation for the release of the grand jury indictment in Ferguson, the KKK released statements saying “we will use lethal force” and made it known to protestors that that “they have been warned and woke up a sleeping giant”. Additionally federal investigations have also ousted KKK member’s within police forces. Malcolm X warned us that KKK members would take off their hoods and trade it in for a blue uniform. We must realize the true state of nature we are in as Black folks in America. And the state that we are in, is a state of war.

As JFK once said, “those who make a peaceful revolution impossible, make a violent revolution inevitable”. The hands of white supremacy continue to take the lives of Black people in this country. America has reminded us time and time again that a peaceful revolution is impossible. As a result, it is time we have a much-needed conversation about self-defense.

First off, I want to live in a world where love and peace are the fundamental principles of human beings. However, America consistently demonstrates that love and peace are not its values. There is nothing peaceful about systemic state violence. As Malcolm X once said, “it is criminal to teach a man not to defend himself when he is the constant victim of brutal attacks.” 

Self-defense is necessary in order to survive in the United States, and self-defense is rooted in self-love.

A true revolution is rooted in radical love. And the foundation of love starts with loving one’s self and one’s people. If we truly love ourselves and our people, we will defend our lives and humanity by any means necessary when our lives are under attack. If we love ourselves, then we shall honor our people with the same love because Afrikan people have always had a linked-fate. As Black people, we share a common struggle under the beast of white supremacy. It’s simple: if someone we love is under attack, we must protect them from the aggressor. For instance, if I was walking down the street with my mom, and someone attacked her, I would attack the aggressor by any means necessary. Most people in their right mind would attack whoever is hurting their Mother. I would not want to be around a person who would not attempt to fight off this aggressor, because that means that they don’t have love for themselves and others. Revolutionary love is protecting each other and oneself by any means necessary to stop the aggressor.

Self-defense is an ideology rooted in revolutionary love. And ideally we want peace, however, we live in a society where state violence against Black people is a daily occurrence. Who are we to call for help when those who are killing us work for the government? Who are we to call for help when we are protesting police brutality and the KKK makes threats? We owe it to Assata Shakur to love and protect each other, not just in theory but in practice.

Protection is of utmost importance as we continue to live during a time of racial bloodshed. Our ancestors were lynched in the late 19th and 20th century at a rate of 2 or 3 times per week. These images were published and redistributed on postcards. Now we are murdered in extrajudicial killings every 28 hours and killed again and again our misery is told through constant news cycles of Black death. Recently, activist Shaun King stated that “The deadliest hate crime against Black folk in the past 75 years happened THIS YEAR in Charleston”.  We must wake up to situation we face, and begin to protect ourselves from white supremacy.

If we are to dismantle segregation, economic & political disenfranchisement, and systemic oppression in creative ways, history has shown us that we will be subjected to violent and strategic backlash at the hands of white supremacists. Just like our ancestors defended themselves, we too must defend ourselves.

We must practice revolutionary love for ourselves and protect each other.

Whether it is from the police killing us, or evil individuals like Daniel Holtzclaw sexually assaulting us, or transphobic murder, or Klansmen riding around a university threatening Black Students with violence, we must say no more. We must radically love one another proactively, as love will unite us against our common enemy. As Assata Shakur said, “we have nothing to lose but our chains”.

Please spread it! It is very important information! That’s what I always say. Today we can clearly see that we ain’t gotta wait for help and protection from law enforcement system. They acting in the interests of the ruling class. Our people have always been under attack, and every leader of the black movement appealed to the fact that we have to protect ourselves. While the governments failing to do this, we must protect ourselves and our children.

Perhaps the best thing that comes out of both the Broadly and Guardian articles is that we now know for sure, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that Rachel Dolezal is white. Reporters are digging deep to present what was a strange figure in as humane a way as possible. They’re asking about her difficult childhood, and demanding that we do the same. They’re interviewing family, friends, co-workers and children to present a full picture of a woman they believe has been misrepresented. Would that they’d been asked to do such digging to produce a lengthy story on Sandra Bland, complete with artwork from her youth and images of her home. Would that they’d done been told to do such hefty work for a compelling and nuanced tale about one (or all) of the 13 women sexually assaulted by Daniel Holtzclaw. Where are the moving narratives of so many black women, who did not pretend to be black, but are still “reduced” to raising their children on food stamps Why aren’t we treated to stories about their baby showers and their home towns?

It’s the fact that we are not (and probably never will be)—it’s that very specific marginalization that unfortunately, unites so many American blacks. Not hip hop or jazz playing at a party, not throwback Mike Jones lyrics, and not even skin color (there are, really, too many variations to count)—but a marginalization that we did not choose, any more than Rachel Dolezal chose the white parents to whom she was born. Others have called it, simply The Struggle, and it cannot be chosen, learned or adopted. You cannot transition into it, hard as you may try, because it appeals to some deep longing within you.

So, although Black Twitter attempted some lighthearted laughs at this story a few months back, it’s no small thing, that a white woman—even one who believes she is black—is still considered to be a worthy subject of a journalistic story, more so than any other black woman, doing anything notable. And it’s not unrelated to the fact that, in 2015, a white man who commits mass murder can receive more empathetically composed news headlines than a murdered black child. Black lives, minds and stories still do not matter as much as white’s and these recent articles (from publications that could surely stand for more articles about identity as experienced by actual black women) are more proof of that.

It’s been a long time since I’ve been on tumblr, but I have a situation that I want to share for the sake of spreading the word about what happened in my hometown almost 2 months ago. This site is very good about spreading information, so I hope this works in favor of him, his family, and friends.

On February 11th (a Thursday I believe), a 12 year old boy and his friend (middle-schoolers) were involved in a hit-and-run accident (texting and driving). They were walking to school and Devon, who left early that morning to take a pair of shoes to a kid who was being bullied at school, took the most of the hit and died early the next weak due to severe head trauma (no other injuries, just his head). His friend was only bruised, but witnessed the entire thing and also able to identify the driver, who is a student that I attend high school with.

While he was dying in a hospital bed, she was at a basketball game snapchatting with her friends. She told everyone with certainty that she’s not going jail. She told one of Devon’s classmates that she had a staring problem (I’m guessing she was staring because she was trying to figure out why she’s not in jail??). She has stated that she has refused to put her life on hold because of what happened.

Let’s not forget that while Devon was bleeding out on the ground after she hit him, she went to McDonald’s and bought breakfast for her and her boyfriend and came to school.

Like. Nothing. Happened.

Now, take a deep breath.

It is March 25th and there have been no charges. Her license has either not been revoked or she is still driving illegally (I saw her driving this week). She was not arrested immediately but told by our chief police to “get out of town”, so her and her mother left for the weekend. Chief police helped have her car repaired. Her and her father have been sending out threats because they can’t take the heat that they have been receiving and also some other shitty statements have been made by her (I was one of the ones threatened and I also have other screenshots of posts that she has made on social media).

This description is very vague and not very well put together, but I WILL post links to his Facebook page “Justice4Devon” (search it if you’d like) so you guys can get more information and also ways that you guys can help and support. We’ve harassed our local news channels and were able to get his story on the news, but we still need more. Our protest has already reached all the way to Indiana, Florida, and all over Alabama (where the accident happened).
