oh wow, that does sound awful. for a moment, she stands there in silence, thinking to let volcana win. but then, she realizes…

      “how tragic,” she says, her voice dripping sarcasm. “so your mun likes another fandom and you think that’s annoying. great! TAKE A FUCKING LOOK AT WHAT MY MUN IS DOING. she’s literally called anakin’s pokéverse ‘how much star wars can i cram into the pokémon world without it being a crossover’ verse. hell, the fact he’s even in pokéverse is a problem to begin with! like what the fuck is tian doing, throwing in her and her friend’s characters from voltron and star wars and RWBY and fandomless original fantasy worlds and nanatsu no taizai? it’s like preuzien isn’t even a german-themed region anymore. it’s more like the smash ultimate of every single fandom that tian and her friends can self-indulgently cram into one setting, except unlike smash ultimate it isn’t good. and really? i think that’s the real reason why i lost. in any decently written narrative, I SHOULDN’T BE LOSING. I ONLY FUCKING LOST BECAUSE I HAD TO DEAL WITH A CROSS-FANDOM TEAMUP OF A GUY WHO CAN THROW THE SUN, LOTOR VLD, AND RACEBENT ANAKIN SKYWALKER BECAUSE FOR SOME REASON EVERY SINGLE MUSE TIAN TOUCHES HAS TO BE ASIAN. 

The screaming got higher and smaller as Volcana started to shrink - first to preteen size, then to toddler size, then to prussian skitty size.... Now, she is Sylveonne's smollest muse. Still in adult form...but one inch tall. At least she could ride valiantly-ish into battle on her mighty steed, Snuggles the Prussian Skitty. Surely Renate would be thrilled.

"Now look what happened! You and me - we are powerful villains whose plots don't give us justice! We look similar because there is an abundance of blonde femme fatale faceclaims! We could have had a great story arc fighting each other, hell, it could have became a dash event! But now you could just step on me or something and it would be over! AAAARRRGH!"

Really, down there Volcana sounded more like Hatsune Miku than a serious villain.

I don't think I'll have to quit RP since this community actually has a lot less of the toxic Tumblr culture than other things formerly on my feed did. Instead, I'll be able to keep this hub and its sideblogs just for RP, and use a separate account (name and specific blog focus tbd) for everything else.

I'm currently weighing three options and legit can't decide yet which one I wanna take:

Indefinite hiatus.

Unfollowing almost every blog I follow and refollowing selectively.

Starting a new account entirely and being more selective with who I follow.

I also wanna clarify that most of this has nothing to do with the Tumblr RPC or the recent controversies within it, nor is this post directed at anyone inside here. What's driving my mental health south is the culture of Tumblr as a website, something that even positive communities like the RPC can only do so much to keep out.

Any advice would be much appreciated, but please, if you can, send it via my discord. I won't be checking Tumblr as much. Because I won't be checking Tumblr as much while I decide, though, I wanted to make sure to clarify to everyone that I am feeling better for now and that I am not in immediate danger.

I can't vent about things because I can't do readmores on mobile, but to sum it up, this hellsite has tanked my mental health this year and its toxic mentality has infected my own. I might very well HAVE to leave.

Volcana found her Key Stone on her way to a site where Gyaradosite was rumored to be found. Wanting to keep this power all to herself, Volcana never told Lysandre, or anyone in Flare, that she found it. This is also why she hasn’t actually Mega Evolved her Pinsir yet - she doesn’t want to give away the fact that she has a Key Stone.

Volcana had her Key Stone fashioned into a decoration on her pocket watch, which she keeps hidden in the inner pocket of her blazer at all times.

I don't have the time and energy to go back and edit every post on my blogs to reflect this, but new posts will. (Is the xkit mass post editor working? I heard a while back it wasn't or else I'd use that)

Among those prisoners were a sizable group of Volcanas and a sizable group of Cains. One of the trash loraxes, even more scruffy than he was on Earth, was glaring at one of the war criminals. This Cain and this Volcana got along particularly badly - Volcana nearly strangled him when they were captives, and he liked to steal Volcana’s rations, not realizing just what horrifying things Lotor had planned for the group.

And of course, those two were chained to each other. So, for now, their only hope of escape or fighting was to work together. Even that was a slim possibility, as all the captives were physically exhausted, feeling bloated from all their weight gain, and barely had any will to live anymore.

kolivan studies the prisoners, thinking over lotor’s offer. the man’s a manipulative snake, like most alteans were, he thinks, but damn if he didn’t know that the quickest way to a galra’s heart was through his stomach. the prey in front of him looked awfully tempting, the tang of fear adding flavor to their already mouthwatering scent…and the offer before him is not simply attractive because of the gift attached. lotor was an ally of voltron now, and likely would have as much pull with the paladins as he did…if kolivan were to refuse lotor’s allegiance and vie with him for voltron’s loyalty, the fire of purification might take advantage of the conflict to undo the hard work that all three of them had done over the past 10,000 years. after several minutes of thinking, his answer is clear.

“in ordinary circumstances, the blade does not deal with traitors who turn against their own, and who cannot put the broader mission before petty emotions and disputes. however, given that these circumstances are extraordinary, i suppose i can make an exception.” his face betrays no sign of emotion as murmurs–both agreement and disagreement–arise from the marmoran councilmembers around him. “i just wish to ask one more thing before i decide whether to accept your gift. tell me more about these prisoners.”

a thousand protests, a thousand excuses rush to the tip of lotor’s tongue at kolivan’s accusations–he is not a traitor, and he was not blinded by his emotions, he simply saw a different future for the blade than that which the commander had envisioned! but none of that matters now; what truly matters is cementing the alliance that had just begun to re-form.

      “gladly.” sly grin. “the men here are named cain, and my grudge against him is admittedly quite personal. he is the biological father of my daughter serena in every universe but this one, and in every universe where he lived, he abandoned his child and refused payments of child support. what’s worse, none of these cains did anything to support the society around them, and often scammed people out of their money by telling them he had a young daughter to care for.” these were no crimes on earth, but he knew that in kolivan’s culture, refusing to take care of one’s child was punishable by public beatings–and he knew that in most galra cultures, contributing nothing to society was traditionally punishable by death. 

      “the women here are named volcana, and in the grand scheme of things, what they have done is far worse. their crimes vary by the universe they came from, but among them include the creation of children as a backup organ supply, the killing of deities, the throwing of countries into anarchy…and she funded these all with sex trafficking and the ransom of charitable organizations. moreover, the worst among all these has also done irreparable harm to my daughter serena: she forced her to watch her family die when she was merely four years old.” he snarls the words, his pupils dilating in his rage, before he calms and the smirk returns.

      “you will be interested to know that one of the other things she was notorious for on earth is human meat trafficking. ironic, isn’t it?” 

several of the galra around him laugh. kolivan nods as lotor finishes speaking, and through narrowed eyes he looks down on the masses huddled before him.

"Fuck you! I never wanted a daughter! I never had a daughter! Fuck all of you! Fuck her mother! Fuck your mothers! Fuck you up the ass!"

Well, it seems Cain just sealed their fate. Still, better to go down trying to save your ass.

"W-well, at least I can say I have more dignity and class than this neanderthal here. After all, it's the strongest that survive, isn't it? You could say that I've strengthened what's left of my people, forced us to evolve into something greater than ourse-"

"You fucking Galarian scum!"

he is a hypocrite. he feels the sting of what he’s about to do as he steps into the blade of marmora war room. he knows that if his human counterpart were ever to find out, he’d be screaming, he’d be throwing things, he’d shriek across the room that he’d never listen to him again…

that does nothing, however, to dissuade lotor from reaching for the rush he knows he’ll feel when the deed is done.

      “esteemed leaders of the blade,” he says, “i know that for centuries you have distrusted me, and for good reason. i remember how, long ago, i stood here in this very room and struck down one of your commanders in my rage over our disagreements. i have come to regret this act, and as a mutual ally of the voltron coalition, it is my sincerest hope that you will join me in defeating sendak’s fire of racial ‘purification,’ and work to restore the universe to what it ought to be. as a token of my apology and my sincerity, please accept this gift.”

he beckons at the door, and the guards open to reveal several naked human prisoners, all chained together hand and foot in two long rows, all of them at least two hundred pounds overweight. they consisted of both men and women, and at first glance appeared to be quite a diverse group, but if one looked closely, one would notice that the men all looked the same as each other–as did the women…almost as though they were all the same people, just from different universes that he had ultra wormholed to. they shamble, chains clanking against the floor, to the center of the room; lotor steps aside to let kolivan get a closer look.
