Nothing just an Inchident

i know he’s always going to pull these things rather than sit back and be complacent with what he gets and that’s why it kills me when he takes the full blame when things don’t go right because it’s not a one man race he has a whole team behind that contributes to his choices and as long as that team 1. does whatever the fuck with strategy without taking his input into consideration and 2. doesn’t nail the regulations the way their competitors clearly do, then the full blame isn’t on him.

if he had the faster car and he bullshitted around? sure. but that’s not what’s happening here and these choices are not happening under a world where he’s fighting for wins the way he wants to. everything contributes to his choices and i hate that he’s apologising to ferrari when im sure they will never apologise to him for not giving him a car that’s up to his talent for years now.

AND ALSO. it’s so crazy to me and it KILLS me that when charles’ risks pay off and he has an incredible race and gets either wins or podiums or great results EVEN AGAINST ALL ODDS people always go “exactly that’s my driver” and when it doesn’t they don’t waste even a SECOND before throwing him under the bus and acting like he’s stupid and he doesn’t know what he’s doing. like sorry but you need to decide if you like him trying no matter what or if you just like riding on his coattails when he does well. you can’t have one and then hate him for the other. that’s not how things work.
