I know I get it but I still really like the show. And it just sucks that everytime I look it up all I get are video essays on why it's terrible and the pilot is better than the actual show.

For every amazing cover and cool redesign I get at least five "[blank] was better in pilot." "Vizie can't write to save her life." "Hazbin is terrible."

Maybe it was the drugs that numb their pain. Maybe it was the countless restless nights catching to them. Or maybe they had simply cracked from the pressure. Whatever the reason, the hunter didn't grab their weapon and decided to talk.

“I do good work, I can't abandon my duty.”

The ageless being tilted their head, staring at the hunter. “Being a killer is good work?” They asked.

“I don't hunt all vampires, I only seek the ones who lost their sanity to bloodlust.” The hunter adjusted the weight of the tools on their back. “The fact we are talking and you aren't going for my throat means you're safe.”

The hunter turned to leave, they had wasted precious seconds conversing with the vamp. The night was young but would be filled with danger. Any moonlight wasted was another wasted chance to save a life.

“You didn't answer my question. How long do you plan to live this way?”

The hunter paused. Their muscles still ache from previous hunts. Their hands calloused from using their weapon. Their wounds, old and new, were pulsing with the same dull ache. When they first started training they felt invincible but after a decade without the blinders of youth they truly felt their mortality.

They gazed into the scarlet eyes of the immortal. The vampire, with a patience born from a century long existence, was waiting for a response. Their expression was not mocking or sneering but simply curious.

I'm planning to do a BIG series of Kwami swaps (80 additional designs, plz wish me luck 🙏) but first I needed some basics of my design principles for each character and Kwami, so here are all the designs I'm working with::

To make the 80 designs more manageable, my plan is to work by the Miraculous first, for example I'll do all of the bee & all of the snake designs rather than all of Chloe & all of Luka's designs, that way I'm working in slightly smaller batches of designs & I can keep them unique enough from one another

P.S. I don't intend on doing anything with this in terms of a story or lore, or even full illustrations, it's just something I've wanted to do for a long time

Ahem...

The show is called Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Chat Noir meaning it should be about the two of them. But Chat Noir is constantly treated like a joke. He wasn't even told about Master Fu and the other Kwamis st first. Why? He got Plagg the same time Mari got Tikki why is he being left in the dark. Yeah I'd give up my ring too if new heroes kept popping up and disappearing and I had no idea where my partner was going. It's like he's a sidekick.

The romance. I admit as an ace person I kinda roll my eyes at a lot of romance but here it's so shallow. Like I've been a kid, I've had crushes, I have not constantly hit on a person when we're both trying to work or made complicated schemes just to talk them. I understand Chat Noir being frustrated but Ladybug has made very clear she isn't interested in him. And Adrien is his own person, he deserves to have say in who he dates he shouldn't be tricked into it.

Some powers are so broken while others are just akuma 2.0. Why is the peacock miraculous and the butterfly miraculous feel so similar? Why is the rooster so busted? There are two Kwamis that can travel through time. Why does everyone in Marinette's class need a miraculous it makes them less special. Why does Ladybug have two powers while Chat Noir gets one. I know Destruction is powerful but give him something else.

This a spoiler for the season five finale but I haven't seen the episode fully I just know because Tumblr and some thumbnails on YouTube. Marinette defeats Hawkmoth. Marinette, by herself, defeats the main villain we've been following for years. We're denied seeing Adrien struggle with the knowledge that his father, the man who raised him has put his and the people he cares about in danger over and over again. And they martyred him and lied that he was a good person when he could have used his miraculous to create a person who has the power to heal his wife.
