Since we're all getting back to The Umbrella Academy shi I might as well set a few reminders:
1) ALL romantic ships between the siblings are incest. Them being adopted doesn't change anything because a.They have different mothers but we know nothing about the other part b.They've pretty much always been siblings. They don't remember a time when they weren't siblings. They grew up as a family (no matter how abusive) and they call each other "brother" and "sister". They are brothers and sisters.
2) ALL trauma is valid. I'm sick of seeing the arguments "vAnyA hAd iT wOrSe" "kLaUs hAd iT wOrSe" "LuTheR's dOeSn'T cOuNt" they all have trauma. Vanya's trauma was bad, Klaus' trauma was bad, Five's trauma was bad, everyone's trauma was bad, even Luther's. He might be a dick but he did go through trauma. Comparing them is problematic even if it's fictional because trauma is trauma no matter what and it's terrible no matter who "had it worse".
3) Pogo was a BAD CHARACTER. Bro stop talking about how good he was to the siblings because he knew about everything, all the abuse and all the lies and he stood there and watched. He left children to be abused and even after Reginald died he refused to do anything to help them. He was part of the abuse and part of Reginald's plans and he doesn't deserve the love you all give him.
4) Vanya is NOT a bad person. To begin with, the trauma she went through is absolutely real and valid. To be a small child being basically told "you're the most worthless and useless child in this family and your siblings are all better than you" constantly while growing up is bad. It messes up a person. Vanya had to take pills for so many years and at the end of the show she had just stopped taking them which can also affect someone. Finally, she was already so vulnerable because of her trauma that she was easy to be manipulated, and Leonard made her believe that everyone was against her even more than she thought. In general, Vanya is very messed up so please don't paint her as a villain immediately.
5) Five's experience was traumatic as HELL. At a very young age he had to see his entire family dead, and then spend many many years completely on his own losing his mind. Just because he acts all cold and distant doesn't mean he hasn't been through tremendous amounts of shit- this attitude might as well be a coping mechanism. I mean as funny as the Delores storyline seems it's just a reminder of just how much Five has been through and his desperate need for human contact.
6) This is a soft one but, despite all the shit the siblings have given Klaus, he still shows love and care towards all of them and doesn't hold any hard feelings. Unlike the others, he actually seems friendly and like he actually cares about his brothers and sisters. And speaking of friendliness, Alison should get some credit for trying to bring the family together and have a good relationship with them, even if she wasn't like that from the start.
7) Speaking of Klaus, NOBODY knows about what he's been through except for Ben. They don't know about the mausoleum, they don't know about his fear of his own powers, his kidnapping or his time in the war (his grief and his PTSD). Klaus doesn't speak about this stuff and the others keep thinking of him as their constantly high, goofy brother.
(Bonus) Klaus started trying to get sober at the end of the season which means that he might be able to see Dave in season 2 👀
Another one about Klaus sorry- Since Five left just before Klaus said "he" during his relationship story and time went back so Diego never heard the Dave story (by whom's pronounce he was surprised), it seems the show is saying that the siblings don't even know about Klaus' sexuality. They all think he's straight, most likely.
8) When Allison showed up at Vanya's concert, Vanya seemed to be happy and started to relax. If Luther hadn't initiated an attack on her immediately afterwards things could have been much different. But most importantly,
9) The apocalypse was REGINALD HARGREEVES' FAULT. It was HIS fault.
