THANKS FOR HELPING US MEET LOLA'S GOAL! We now have a new GoFundMe that's more directly aimed at her ultimate goal: fleeing Nigeria and going to school in Germany. Nigeria's getting worse, homophobic hate crimes are increasing, and Lola's chances of survival while in the country get narrower by the day. She needs a new life in Germany in order to thrive.

Before we can get her there, Lola needs several things: English entrance exam ($200), rent ($460/mo, or $115/wk), and money for food, transportation, and medicine when she gets sick.

These are ways to help me in the best way possible. Everything that I could possibly need costs money and the things that do not cost time and energy, which are two things that I forsake a lot because I have to go to work for money.

When I am here, I try to be engaged and when I'm not, I am surviving. Thank you for the continued support over the years and the future shares to help me get the things I need in my life.

You may be wondering why I am suddenly using this space to so frequently ask for money.

It is because I have been poor this entire time and even though reblogs are free and help with reach, this blog gets hundreds of reblogs whenever I am active on it, BUT I rarely hit a dozen for my personal "Help me survive" posts.

Look. I get it. Your Tumblr space is sacred and important and you don't want my ebegging to fuck up your aesthetic. But, I am still getting several messages and comments about how this page helps people's feelings, and I do it for that, but that becomes harder when I can't afford survival and I am just asking if this page HAS helped you to see what you wanna see on a site that is very much not created for the content I share - reblogs are free.

Having less reblogs for posts where I humble myself and admit that I need help to provide myself with basic needs than I do messages that thank me for providing a free space to see a vast collection of people like us on a site that censors even our skin feels bad. It feels bad.

I understand that not everybody can give, but I am quite sad that my friends will reblog me 7 times because they know and love me, but several of the people who might not know me, but appreciate this blog won't give me a single, free reblog.

If this is annoying to see, I get that too. But, please don't tell me you appreciate my curated space when you don't appreciate my struggle enough to simply reblog a post with links to help me afford to be present enough to even check out this space. That's all I ask.
