dumb but has thoughts semi-occasionally

ok so at my school we have a snapchat group chat filled with a lot of the art students who are taking all the same classes. it started out with me and a few other people, but this week we had like 6 people join. i’m gonna type out what happened next because it’s a little hard to just explain it (i would post screenshots but bitch has unfortunately left the chat so all her messages are gone)

B= bitch

M= me

*two people have been added to the chat*

B: wait a minute. hold up. who are these people?

M: they’re other art students.

B: why do they need to be here? this started out as a close friend group chat (it didn’t) and now it’s starting to feel like a party (there are now 8 people in the chat)

M: i thought this was just a general art student group chat?

B: i know i’m just saying before we just start adding whoever we need to make sure everyone is ok with it because some people might have issues

after that the person who added the people apologizes, she ignores it and we move on.....until the next day

*4 more people have been added*

B: for real?

M: they’re all art students

B: that’s not the issue

M: then what’s the issue?

B: before people just add other people, we need to make sure that it’s ok with everyone who’s already here to make sure that there’s no issues.

M: if it’s really that big of an issue where you just absolutely cannot stand to be in a stupid snapchat group chat with someone then the person that has an issue can leave. it’d be really annoying if everytime we wanted to add someone we would have to have EVERYONES permission first.

B: ok so who has a problem?

M: right now only you

B: i just think it’s annoying to have people keep joining when i don’t even know half of them

M: right now the only annoying thing that’s happening is you throwing a fit every time someone joins, because you seem to be the only one who really cares that much

B: ok i just think that before we add anyone, we make sure that no one has a problem so that there aren’t any issues

(here’s where i go off because at this point she’s just repeating her same shitty argument)

M: i don’t have any issue with any art student, and i’m sure most of the people here are the same way. if you would like to make a new group chat with all your friends, feel free to do so. i was never under the impression that this was a close friend group chat, just a large general art student group chat where we could ask things about class like when things are due for example. if there’s someone here that anyone doesn’t feel comfortable with then they can leave because nothing is keeping them here but it makes 0 sense to me why if only 1 person has a problem with someone, then they can’t join. sorry i snapped a minute ago, i was just frustrated because i thought we handled this last night.

as i’m typing out this long ass paragraph, one of my friends in the group chat sends:

are you typing a book? XD (a tad cringey, i know but harmless)

B: i ain’t typing nothing sis 💁‍♀️💅stop using those childish emojis

M: she was talking to me lol

honestly it wasn’t even that big of a deal, it just pissed me off that she was trying to play off her shitty rule like it was for the good of the chat, when i know that she just wanted control over everything. i know she was probably talking shit about to her friends, but i literally don’t give a fuck because everyone in that chat who saw what happened was on my side so more than likely there’s more people talking shit about her lmao.

i rant about this because the situation makes me irrationally angry, and she probably hates me because she’s petty, but it’s not like i hate her. i don’t like her, but i’m an adult and i can be civil. i was worried she would try and start something irl, but we’ve been in the same room a few times now and we haven’t said anything to each other, so i hope that this will continue.
