Chippy loves her new bed

On May 2nd, 2018, Ginger passed away. Her health had been steadily declining and the diagnosis was make her comfortable. She was still eating and cuddling and doing all the things a little rat enjoys, but that morning she was cold and almost unresponsive. She was struggling to breathe. I knew it was cruel to keep her suffering so we went to the vet, cried for hours and said goodbye to my little baby. I knew the day was coming for weeks but it was still hard. I still get tearful when thinking about her and miss her dearly. Rest In Peace, Ginger.

Ginger is ready for Halloween!

I thought I'd share this photo to show what messy eating my girls are. The cage was completely clean the day before.

back from the vet and tumor free!

dropped Ginger off at the vet to get the mass under her left arm removed. It’s so hard leaving my baby in someone else’s care. Of course, the hardest part of this whole process for Ginger has been having to go 12 hours without food.
