HE WHO HESITATES IS TOAST

               patience  was  wearing  thin,  but  that  was  nothing  new  when  it  came  to  her  dealing  with  tony  stark.  sharon  had  become  skilled  in  hiding  her  disdain  with  anyone.  it  was  a  skill  that  came  with  the  territory.   ❛   you’ve  got  three  minutes  to  state  your  case,  stark.  time  starts  ticking  now  !   ❜

             though  it  appears  she’s  listening  intently,  sharon’s  mind  is  one  to  wander over  to  the  million  items  still  left  to  complete.  a  slight  head  nod  follows,  to ensure   the  charade  can  keep  going  for  another  moment  before  deciding  she’s  had  quite  enough  for  the  moment.    ❛   as  thrilling  as  all  that  sounds,  can  we  pick  this  up  another  time  or  something?    ❜

                 HORRIFIC  was  the  only  word  to  describe  the  last  several   days.  hospitals  were  a  living  hell  on  earth,  but  the  comfort  of  her  own  home  provided  sharon  with  some  ease.  no  nurses  or  unwanted  guests  lurking  around.   ❛   if  you  tell  me  that  i  look  as  shitty  as  i  feel,  i  swear  i’ll  punch  you  in  the  boob  or something.   ❜

                ❛   i  know  i’ve  said  this  a  thousand  times,  but  —  you  can  reach  out  to  me  personally  for  anything.  ❜    sharon  could  easily  set  aside  the  badge  she  so  proudly  wore  each  &  every  day  for  someone  who  needed  a  friend.  being  human  wasn’t  a  weakness  in  her  book.   

                  anyone  else  would  have  reacted  in  disbelief  given  the  situation,  but  sharon?  didn’t  even  bat  an  eyelash.  instead,  she  took  a  slow  sip  of  her  coffee  before  gently  placing  it  down.    ❛   sometimes  i  wonder  how  you  so  easily  convince  me  to  get  into  these  situations.   ❜
