I know he was gone a lot, but like, HE DIDNT TEACH HIS KIDS ANY POLISH??? It was stated somewhere his English wasnt very good until long after he came to America, so likely when his kids started going to school.

BUT STILL???? I mean, I get it, my dad failed teaching me Spanish and my mom is whiter than paper, but I can at least have basic conversations and still have an accent when I speak Spanish.

In my book, this is WORSE THAN A FAILURE FOR A BILINGUAL FATHER. AND ABE COULD SPEAK, LIKE, 5 LANGUAGES!!! And he couldn't even teach his kids one other than English???

I feel like I agree with what you’re saying, but for different reasons, I think it would’ve been great if Abe could’ve taught Frank and Susie some Polish, but I think what gets me the most is that it’s not that he DIDN’T it’s that he COULDN’T BECAUSE HE WAS NEVER AROUND!!! 

because why is she just the female version of Jacob but she doesn’t get the same treatment as him?? Like when I say “I don’t really like Jacob!” It’s “he was just a teenage boy, you need to be easier on him!” But when I see people hating on Noor, it’s just mountains of people agreeing..
