Funny story - I actually became aware of the Alhambra after the city of Granada entered a float into the New Year's Day Rose Parade. This is what the float was based on - the Alhambra's Patios de los Leones (Patio of Lions). The fountain was constructed in the late 14th century and were just recently restored to full function in 2012. I could not even begin to try and take a picture that captured how beautiful and wonderous the Nasrid Palace of the Alhambra is - you basically walk around with your mouth open for an hour or more!
