Many shamans have a predilection for the little people that inhabit the forests and the gardens they create,most hikers that tread the land have encountered these patches of trees and the fungi they grow unaware that these are actually carefully designed and planted by faeries for their consumption and their herbal remedies, some even grown inside tree trunks because the humidity and heat produced by the bark creates an ideal and perfect medium ,for their crops,also many faeries share their farms with ants,and some brown wasps.So much work and sweat for a careless human to come and trample their work. This is why appreciate shamans ,they know about them and often bring gifts to them. Little people know who their friends and foes are.Many a shaman has suddenly disappeared in these forests out of a curiosity to explore the faeries world ,and gone underground only to return years later with tales of a parallel world so beautiful and peaceful. Long ago I understood clearly why western cultures stop believing in the existence of little people ,but in a shamanic world I was able to revive my sense of wonder in all aspects of their existence.Well,these pockets of mushrooms ,we find in the deep woods are better to be left alone,now that you know of their existence and purpose. They deserve to be respected and left alone,and if your heart is in the right place bringing them gifts is much appreciated. More about them in coming postings.
