Omnia vincit amor

Marilyn Monroe arrives at the premiere of the United Artists/Billy Wilder comedy Some Like It Hot at Loew's State Theatre located at 1540 Broadway on Times Square in New York City on March 29th, 1959. Marilyn's third (and last) husband, playwright Arthur Miller, is also seen accompanying her in the gifs. The theater, originally built in 1921, had recently undergone an $850,000 re-model and Some Like It Hot was the first film shown at the gala re-opening. The historic theater was later closed in 1986 and then sadly torn down in 1987.

1946: Photograph of Frank Sinatra with a bronze bust of himself sculpted by Jo Davidson on commission by Modern Screen magazine. The bust was given to Sinatra in honor of his first-place finish in the magazine's annualpoll.
