A couple more photos from Canada Day, only in black and white.

Went for a little adventure between the neighbour's house and our own. This pathway basically leads from our front garden, past one of the bedrooms in the house, to our back porch.

Oh wow! Has it ever been a while since my last post! Sorry about that, but goodness is summertime ever distracting :)

At least in Ontario it's been so hot (at least this past two weeks!) that even being NEAR a computer is far too toasty. Whew, I'm breaking a sweat just typing this, haha.

Last weekend was Mother's Day, so big brother and I took a swing by the homestead to give mom a squeeze and some treats. As usual I took my camera in hopes of snagging some sweet pictures of their wildlife.

Sally seems to always look stoic and confident while Jenna makes faces at me.

So once in awhile I get a little bored with what I'm viewing through my camera's lens so I'll switch things up a little. Instagram appears to have taken the phone photographer world by storm by giving users a million and one ways to spice up their simple, daily pics. Now I don't own an iPhone, so I cheaped out. An EXTREMELY affordable and fun way to make interesting photos is to use your sunglasses as a lens filter. The larger styles that are out nowadays (including aviators, of course) tend to have a gradient (gradual fade) to them and have some interesting hues. The ones I used for this photo have a purple to almost green gradient and I'm really digging the way this photo came out. I'll post some photos of trees using the same technique soon!!

Hey there! sorry it's been such a long time, I've apparently been far to busy with nothing in particular. Actually, I have 3 part-time jobs and so I'm usually filling the gaps between them with love and socializing.

So where do I begin? I believe I'll just start sporadically uploading photos that I click at random. Just a few glimpses into what I've been up to!

What I've got here is a sweet little snap of my parents' wee Scottish Terrier, Max (named by my dad, who can't get enough of The Grinch Who Stole Christmas). He was the runt of his litter, and reminds me of a pot bellied pig. In a nice way! He's the funniest little fellow. This is him getting ready for some loving rubs as he snuggles up to my boyfriend's leg. He gets into a funny mood where he isn't sure if he should be loving or territorial, so he'll put out a growl while wagging his tail. He's the king of mixed signals.

The second shot is of Max trying to appear shy and reserved. He's really just a sleepy boy that doesn't appreciate being woken up for photographs. He's nearly 8 years old, so he's starting to slow down, but only a bit.
