“I don’t know what would be worse. Being kicked out or tidying up.” Brooke teased in response, a smile present upon her face. “Ah, the best kind of business,” she replied. “Something to occupy my time with, now that class is out. How about we team up? This place is getting a little boring.”

“Definitely tidying, especially if they denied me my powers in helping me clean up the place. I’d want to Flora, Fauna and Merryweather that room. Not get my hands grubby.” Lorelei’s face lit up at the others words, “Team up to make the place less boring? Now those are my favorite words, especially since my brother is elsewhere and therefore not here to help me reek havoc.”

“I think I should have been gifted with teleportation or the power to stop time,” Brooke mused aloud to the person sat beside her. “If I’m late to anymore classes, I feel like they’re going to kick me out.” A soft chuckle left her lips, before she turned to her company. “What brings you here today?”

“I think kicking you out might be a bit of a stretch, giving you the punishment of clearing up the training room after a particular messy session. More likely- I think I’d rather they kick me out.” Lorelei commented, pushing her hair over her shoulder as she looked at the other. “Chaos and mayhem, you know- the usual.” She teased, “What about you?”

“Well- are you going to help or are you just going to continue to stare at me as I get progressively more soaked.” Lorelei huffed as she looked to her ex.

“You do know you won’t melt if you step out of the shade, right? I know we’re fair and red headed- but a little bit of sun isn’t going to make you spontaneously combust.”

“Next person I hear calling coffee ‘dirty bean water’ is going to get their tongue turned into a slug I swear–” Arcadius grumbled to his sister. “Why is literally everyone annoying?”

“Wait-” Lorelei commented, holding up a finger as she focused onto the other and away from her phone. “There are people out there calling it that-...can we not put a small hex on the phrase. Nothing too serious. Just something to teach them a lesson?”

“I don’t think dinner at the academy has ever tasted so good. Don’t you think?”

“I mean it’s nothing special, it’s just pasta.” Lorelei shrugged, in fact she thought it was a little too salty for her taste. “Unless you helped cook it then I’m going to say it’s wonderful because I don’t want to be that bitch.”

“I’m all run out,” Kyle said, laying on the ground, breathing heavy. “My legs actually hurt, that doesn’t happen often.”

Lorelei looked to the other and smirked, “I gave up not long after you said go, it was fun watching you do laps like a golden retriever though.” She commented, opening a bottle of water and dribbling some onto his face.

“Lory,” Austin smirked as he opened the door to his dorm to find his ex, “What do I owe the pleasure?”

Lorelei couldn’t help but curse internally upon seeing how had opened the door to her brothers room, sure she knew it was a possibility, but she hoped it would be a slim one. “Not to inflate your ego, but I’m not actually here to see you.” She commented, looking passed him and into his room, “Is Arcadius here, I really need to see him.”

“Are you sure you don’t have a tychokinetic against you?” Jordi joked.

“Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised.” Lorelei commented with a sigh, “But if I do- I’ll just have to find out who they are and have a little fun myself. Nothing harmful, just some light voodoo.” She commented, looking at the other with a smirk. “I’m kidding of course.”

Jordi was walking in Aroma Mocha when he heard his name. He turned for a split second, only to run right into Lorelei. “Oh my God, I’m so sorry. Let me get you some napkins.”

Lorelei was beginning to wonder if it was just her life’s ambition to be constantly covered in coffee on a regular basis now, sighing as she looked down at her clothes she tried to figure out if she would have time to rush back and change or if she’d have to risk a spell to help clear up the mess, “It’s fine- not the first time to happen this week and I’m pretty sure it won’t be the last with how my luck is going.”

“To be determined,” he was quick to reply. They often ricocheted off of one another like that whenever they spoke. An outsider would have a hard time keeping up with what they were talking about because of how quick they seemed to go from subject to subject. “At least the illustrations in that are sublime. The writing though– I’ll admit is subpar.” Arcadius looked back at the books before looking back to his sister, “Perhaps. Although we should certainly be careful our little practice session doesn’t end in setting this library aflame.”

“So is this you given them a three out of five rating, I’ll be sure to leave a review on your behalf.” Lorelei teased, waving the other off as he spoke, “I would never do anything to hurt the books, books are power and knowledge and everything that is wonderful in this world.” She added, moving to stand and follow the other through the stacks, “And who said it had to be fire related, we could do anything we wanted. Well- within reason, I don’t think people would be too happy if we opened the gates of hell in Grove Harbour.”

“At least there’s plenty of reading material for us to turn to if we get bored,” Arcadius remarked, looking to the rows of towering bookshelves surrounding them. “You alright?” he asked, looking to his sister. “Not feeling too cold?”

“But is it interesting reading material?” Lorelei questioned, “Because I don’t want to be stuck reading the hungry hungry caterpillar for nine hours.” Watching as her brother moved through the aisles of books, focusing her attention more on him when he asked if she was okay, “I’m fine and no- not yet, though something tells me we’d be able to fix that if we were feeling cold- I mean if there’s any time to practice, it’d be now, right?”

“What are you talking about? I didn’t do that. I wasn’t anywhere near it.”

“So then who did it, a ghost?” Lorelei commented with a roll of her eyes, scrambling for some napkins to try and recover her work and mourn the loss of her caffeine intake for that morning.

“Oh gosh, sorry!” Tanner said, reaching to grab some napkins and handing them over to her, “It was a complete accident, I’m so sorry. Let me pay you back for it.”

Lorelei took the napkins from the other, knowing that if she tried to clean this up using her magic when feeling this tired, it would have some repercussions, “I’d say it’s fine, but I’m not going to say no to you buying me another coffee. Not when I’ve got a hell of a day ahead of me.”

Noah sighed. This was the last thing he needed today. He stopped in his path and turned to face her, trying to project feelings of ease onto the other because he, for once, was not in the mood for a fight, “Sorry. What was it? I’ll buy you another.”

Lorelei couldn’t help but feel her mood start to shift and her body simply given in with no fight, something very unlike her but still- she guessed she’d take being at peace for once over being wound up. “It’s fine, it’s more of the work that it was spilled on rather then the coffee itself.”
