“Fine, next time you make the drinks,” Kyle teased.

Looking like she was thinking it over for a minute, she sighed, “Alright I guess it could be fun. I should’ve brought a thicker jacket or something though.”

Due to the anemia, Kyle was always cold, so he knew he could live with the cold for the night. He took off his coat, handing it to his sister. “Here, have mine.”

“Oh?” Penelope didn’t question it further and continued to dance, “It dancing is a sport then it’s the only one I actively participate in except for the occasional jog. Key word being occasional.”

“I would count dancing as a sport. If I’m being honest, I think it’s harder than football,” Kyle replied.  

“Maybe one bad thing did you over?” She offered up, “But, that’s a good point, I doubt you’ve done anything for karma to target. Maybe some of mine is rubbing off on you?” 

“Maybe,” he replied. “But whatever it was, I don’t remember it.” He laughed at Alex’s comment. “I was sick before I met you, so I don’t think it’s you.”

“I know it’s not exactly the same but did you ever consider virtual contact sports as an alternative? Or like a simulation? I think they could be pretty fun and it would allow you to play the sports, you’re not meant to play anymore.”

Kyle shrugged. “It’s not really the same, I kind of like the pain and the soreness you get after someone checks you against the board in Hockey,” he replied. “Weird, but total adrenaline rush.”

“Do you believe in karma? Because I’ll be honest, you probably have more good karma than I do which could work in your favour.” 

Kyle shrugged. “I don’t know, if I believed in Karma, I must’ve done some bad shit to get sick.”

Jack had to lunge forward a little to catch it again but she managed and then threw it again, “Frisbee golf? Really? How popular is that because I’ve never seen anyone play it.”

“Not very popular honestly,” Kyle replied. “But after I was diagnosed, I had to find some alternatives to contact sports.”

Penny laughed as they danced, “Well colour me impressed. You are pretty good.”

“When you can’t play the sports you’re used to, you find other ways to stay active,” Kyle replied with a shrug.

“Let me see,” she offered, moving closer to him to peer at the instructions. “Maybe I can figure something out.”

Kyle handed the instructions over. “I used to go camping with my dad sometimes, but we’ve never had a tent like this.”

“Probably,” Kyle responded with a shrug. “Though, what else do you expect at a bonfire filled with mostly college aged kids.”

“Come on, you can’t tell me you don’t like burnt marshmallows,” Kyle said.

“I thought you said you were ‘a professional’ at this?” Lily asked tilting her head at the bits and pieces around them. It had been over half an hour and they weren’t any closer to a completed tent. “Do you think anyone would judge us if we quit?” 

“No, no, I never said that. I said I’m no professional at this.”

“Is it bad that I’m surprised this is something people actually do?” Jack asked, tossing the Frisbee, “I mean, you see it in the movies but I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone do this in real life.”
