An exceptionally strong-willed Chaplain, Lemartes succumbed to the Black Rage prior to the battle for Hadriath XI. Inducted into the Death Company like all who fall to the gene-curse of Sanguinius, Lemartes survived the battle but, much to the astonishment of his battle-brothers, was found to still possess a measure of sanity. Rather than slaying Lemartes, High Chaplain Astorath agreed to the fallen Chaplain's request to continue fighting against the Emperor's foes and appointed him as warden of the Death Company, where the Chaplain exerts his iron will to channel the Black Rage to devastating effect. Although he has become a symbol of hope for the Chapter, some believe that Lemartes will inevitably fall totally to the Black Rage.

The Dauntless Few

"The Dauntless Few" was a term coined by Roboute Guilliman to refer to those four of his primarch brothers whom Guilliman considered most dependable. When devising theoretical scenarios involving elements from one or more Space Marine Legions, Guilliman often favored pairing one or more of these brother's legions with his Ultramarines. The Dauntless Few were: 1. Rogal Dorn of the Imperial Fists; 2. Sanguinius of the Blood Angels 3. Leman Russ of the Space Wolves; and 4. Ferrus Manus of the Iron Hands.

For the Glory of the Imperium! I’ve finished an artwork of my Rogue Trader Esther I started a few months ago! It even feels weird parting with it after all this time.

Context: She's a Commissar with Illustrious Glory triumph which is a background as an Imperial propaganda posters legend. So I've been wondering for the longest time how those posters could look considering W40k aesthetics. I imagine clear and blunt wartime posters pushed in the direction of nearly religious imagery with fervent detailing but still looking like something that was painted.

Also I dusted off my calligraphy skills for this one, so every bit of text here is hand-lettered over a span of a few nights because clearly only through pointless toil and solemn misery can I capture the spirit of 40k💀 Consider me contractually obliged to bring attention to it every time I post because I spent so much time doing it lol.
