I was thinking about perfection.

Perhaps because it’s this time of year and it seems

that everyone is looking for the perfect gift, or perfect tree , or trying to find a perfect dress to wear to the perfect party or host the perfect Christmas dinner.

And it’s not the holidays which demand perfection, it’s purely something

which we impose. And in doing so, we lose the essence of joy of just loving

each moment for what it is and what it brings.

Kind of like relationships.

How many times do we look for what we feel would be the perfect boyfriend or

girlfriend and somewhere along the way in our quest for perfection, miss out on

the joy of just loving someone for who they are and accepting them unconditionally.

So try it.

Maybe let go of perfection and come to see the beauty undiscovered in what you never expected.

You never know..that person with the red nose might just become the love of your life..

Angel

On this day, a number of years ago, an angel was born. Not in heaven but on this earth. She has the appearance of a human and she deals with a human’s issues every day, and yet, she is not like everyone else.

What makes this angel special is that she does not realize she is one. She is not entirely aware of the positive impact she has had and will have on the lives of people who cross her path. It’s a gift she unknowingly provides that surely is not always fully appreciated.

This angel at times thinks her wings are broken. Life can do that to the strongest and most resilient among us, but particularly to those who live to give. Sometimes the cup ends up empty, with nothing left to offer. But it refills, it always replenishes. Don’t forget that, Angel!

Today, dear Angel, stand proud and spread your wings, for you are the guiding light for many in your life. And as impossible as that may seem during these difficult times, know that within you there lays the strength and the will to always - always - get back on your feet.

You’re an angel and angels are not meant to be broken, angels are meant to fly!
