With a mind like mine you tend to be too kind A soft fruit engulfed in a Thin rind With bumps and bruises tender like my heart I know I have to do my part You will try to strike my love With an acute dart But thy accuracy dull And you could never keep me full Though my exterior seems tough To my soul my feelings will bind When the times ripe Thy may as well open up my rind For it's thin and I have nothing that may blind For if my age suits I will find peace of mind but before those days I will be tart, kind, and encapsulated in my rind Until coming of age I will stumble In times I will fall But through all the fumbles I will ripen to be goodenough after all
