Time to say goodbye

It's been a long time coming...

I'm not going to be updating this blog anymore.

It was fun while I had the time and actually cared about OUAT. I haven't watched the new season and don't plan to. I have more important things going on in my life and rather spend my free time focusing on them. As much as I love laughing at stupid shit SQers say and watching them get mad about it, I've moved on. I'm not going to be deleting this blog and if someone wants to take it over, feel free to send me a message as I may log on from time to time to check.

Thanks to everyone who supported the blog and laughed with me. And thank you to all the mad SQers who sent me death threats and wrote essay length posts about my FAQ. This blog wouldn't have been possible without you!

To answer your question about what Swan Queen fans wanna do at SDCC: there's word that they're planning on bombarding Sean Maguire and Colin O'Donoghue with questions about Swan Queen and only asking them to sign pictures of Regina and Emma together. Some have also said they're going to make statements about the (supposed) homophobia and rape culture while the cast is answering questions then walk out. Basically they wanna ruin it for everyone.

What do they hope to accomplish by doing any of the above? Seems to me like all they’re going to do is make fools of themselves and make the cast uncomfortable.

I think that goes completely against the rules for attending SDCC. Someone made a post about the rules a while back. I forget who.

You can get kicked out of those things, so these people better be careful.

I recently posted something to that effect, with the passage taken directly from SDCC’s site. It’s a private event, they can and will revoke your badge, barring you from attendance. In all likelihood, they’ll take it a step further and give you a lifetime ban. There are legions of fans desperate to attend, they don’t need this bullshit and will not tolerate such egregious behavior.

I don't understand shipping actual people together either, anon. It goes far beyond what is appropriate. It's gross and I imagine it makes the actors uncomfortable.

Apparently now a group of SQers want to protest in front of ABC's studio. I'd love to see it because we all know they'd just be making gigantic fools of themselves. And what's even funnier is they literally believe they have the upper hand and would get tons of new coverage. I can imagine how the story will be reported (LOL lbr though it isn't going to happen): Fans of the tv show Once Upon A Time are protesting today because they believe the show promotes "rape culture". They say the solution to the problem would be solved if only show creators paired the main character, Emma Swan, with the only canon rapist on the show, Regina Mills aka The Evil Queen. More at 11.

I see a bunch of SQers losing their minds over the fact that a hug between Emma and Regina was cut from the show. They think it’s because the creators/directors/editors want to personally take down SQ. Because apparently when they’re putting the episode together, their main priority is seeing how many SQ scenes they can cut out to make sure SQ doesn’t happen. Some of them really do think the entire show revolves around them and their ship.

I wonder how shocked they’ll be when they realize that shows often film more than what is needed for an episode. Then those scenes are cut down to fit the time slot and to portray the direction the writers/director/creators want to go. Meaning that sometimes improvised scenes are not going to make the cut. It’s not homophobia. It’s not the creators of the show trying to stick it to you. These people don’t think of SQ when they’re editing scenes because SQ isn’t actually happening on the show. I’m sorry if that wrecks the image you have of SQers being the center of everything to do with ouat.

Have you watched the SQ documentary? The "sq scenes" that they used were ones where Regina was either threatening Emma or bullying her. Good thing they muted it right?

I haven't watched the documentary, but that doesn't surprise me at all. They've constantly shown that they find Regina acting like a bully towards Emma "sexy" and "subtext for SQ". It worries me that so many people find Regina's abuse to be romantic.
