💥 ― “They don’t tell us anything.”

🔮 ― She pulled away to sip provocatively at her drink, satisfaction as plain as day on her face. If it wasn’t obvious already, she was a few deep. “Hello, Ty,” she finally purred, setting the cocktail onto the bar. “Gotta say, I’m surprised to see you lurking around town.”

It was obvious enough that the Bennett was teasing him, and he was more than happy to play along. "You and me both, Luc." Raising an eyebrow as he took a sip from his drink, smirking at the witch. "They drag you back too?"

💥 ― “I’m sorry ― who did the what now?”

💥 ― “Like you can say you haven’t royally screwed up before.” It was a generalization, in MG’s defense.

“Ouch. Hurt my ego why don’t you.” Matt jokingly put his hand to his heart as if he were in pain. “Hey I guess when half the town’s population are supernaturals I start to look like a good option.” He shrugged with a teasing smirk.

“Oh yeah... because the supernaturals are so entirely awful.” the werewolf chuckled, grateful for this time with Matt. “Lockwoods were werewolves since forever and they were half decent mayors... most of the time.”

Matt laughed slightly. “Something tells me you’re here to bitch at me for not welcoming you back sooner?”

"It might have something to do with that." the werewolf teased, his smile growing at the sight of his best friend. "I was also referring to your title, mayor, who would have ever thought little Matty Blue Eyes with the okay hair would be mayor?"

"That it won't last, because she always picks the evil mass murderers, like Klaus and Stefan, over anyone decent. Best wishes to her, and the poor fucking sucker who has no idea what he's in for."

♊ ― “I’ll put in a request. As long as my suite is above his ― I feel like I’ve earned that much.” At this point, Kai didn’t care when and where he ended up. Peace?  He still didn’t believe in the concept, as he couldn’t recall ever finding it during his short stint of Hell-less afterlife. “Huh,” was all he could say to that. “Why?” Kai was so used to being the antagonist, it was difficult to wrap himself around that kind of ‘protagonist’ in-fighting. “I knew he was teetering the edge,” he began, referring to his own manipulation of Damon’s morality, “but what’s that have to do with you?” This might also be due to the fact Kai had no idea what kind of dynamic Tyler filled in that group.

“Do you though? You did kill your entire family, and tried to kill your nieces... what... twice now? Three times? Facts are a little fuzzy from peace. Then again, the Salvatore Slaughterers have killed counties worth of people over their lifetimes, so, guess it’s just peanuts in comparison.” Even if one of those people was the woman he hoped to marry one day, even if losing her had led to a downward spiral he’d never recovered from, and even with the chance, he doubted he would have ever gotten over the loss of the stubborn blonde gemini. “To prove he was irredemable, but guess what? Everyone forgot the minute things calmed down... forever forgiving the monster that fucked us all over.” Bitterness was apparent in every syllable, and his anger was reaching a fever pitch, and he was doing everything he could to bring himself back down. Kai wasn’t worth it, not now.

“Some of my so-called friends who seem to overlook the fact Damon Salvatore is the reason half of us are dead, and all of us are at least a little fucked up.”

“See, that’s a trap, and I’m not falling for it.”
