“Heh I’m rare…nice” he said offhandedly “look I’ve only been through three transformations and thr last one got me dead cause I was caught off gaurd.” He said. “ I dont know anyone like me…”

It was obvious enough that the Bennett was teasing him, and he was more than happy to play along. “You and me both, Luc.” Raising an eyebrow as he took a sip from his drink, smirking at the witch. “They drag you back too?”

🔮 ― “Don’t act so disappointed,” she kept it up, even as her smile faltered. “Zombies can be this hot. Deal with it.” There was something about his demeanor that worried her, beyond the obvious being back from the dead thing ― though she believed that was one-sided. “I hear I’m some psycho’s pawn. Like that’s never happened to me before.”

“Honestly, I’m not sure. I don’t know if I’m buying into her suddenly changing her ways. But then again the originals are playing nice too. Maybe since we all have a common enemy this time things will be different.” 

🔮 ― “And when the big bad’s gone?  Katherine might be a snake but she’s a predictable snake. Those vampires.. they’re timebombs.” It got Lucy riled up. “We can’t take chances.”

“Anything you want, but me, I’m drinking tequila, on the rocks.” He smiled at her with a swinkle in his eye.

🔮 ― “Whew... tequila. What are we celebrating?” she asked. “Or mourning. I’m not picky.”   

As he was reminded of the horror of the full moon, something he had forgotten he would have to go through, only having been back for a few days. “Speaking of…when is the next full moon…? Sorry I just…I forgot about my life for a second.” Granted they had both been given a second chance at life and he thought they should make the most of it.

“So, buy you a drink?” Harrison said to the person sitting near him at the bar. Summer classes had been a bitch this semester, freshmen trying to get ahead, but the classes were small and he needed a break from professor mode.

He chuckled at the nudge “Does it have to be life and death, all the time? Maybe it could change.” He said nievly

“What? No.” He said honestly. “Well, actually she’s back too. I think she’s nice now. I know, concerning.”

🔮 ― “Katherine’s back?” Oh, Lucy was going to need a drink. Stiff and soon. “Yeah, because we both know she doesn’t do nice. Who is she trying to manipulate this time?”

“What?” He asked. “I think the necromancer likes playing games. There was this carnival, everyone, well mostly everyone was having fun. But then something changed. The necromancer has all these creeps under his control and he took control of some people in town. Things ended up kind of bad for some, but it was like he was having fun with it.” He hadn’t thought of that, would Bonnie be in more danger? Did the necromancer have her under his radar? 

🔮 ― “Are you flirting with an Original Vampire’s daughter.” From where she was standing, she didn’t feel like she needed to even ask. “That’s good to know. Nothing like a narcissist who likes playing games. Where’s Katherine when we need her?  We could fight fire with fire!” The sarcasm could be cut with a knife.

“Someones a pessimist.” He teased, lightly. “Yes they are but thry have the ability to do good, thats what makes them all worth saving. Its the hope and potential.

“Not everyone is that way…I dont know what exactly happened but that person didn’t deserve kindness.”

Damon just gave her a playful wink. “Hope’s like 18, 19, 20 one of those for sure.” He said with a slight shrug. “Bonnie? She’s Bonnie. I would probably still be throwing myself a pitty party for one if she hadn’t basically told me to get over myself. Knowing her, she could fight the necromancer herself and win.”

🔮 ― “Damon, do you have any shame.” She took the age tally as some kind of innuendo and was ready to completely check out of discussing it. “That’s why I’m worried. If I were this necromancer fuck, I’d target her. Like the skeletons in her closet.” It made Lucy’s stomach twist, thinking that she might be one of those cheap shots. 

          ‘ it’s  that  easy  .  ’   he  reiterated  . 

lorenzo  never  had  a  family  ,  not  really .  the  brown-eyed  vamp  was  an  orphan  and  by  the  age  of  4  he was  forced  to  work  at  a  workhouse  .  by  the  age  of  14  he  was  out  on  the  streets  and  at  the  age  of  27  he  had  died  from  consumption  ( a  disease  that  was  emphamis  in  the  1900′s  )  .  that  was  the  sum  total  of  his  human  life  . he  had  died  without  family  .  it  wasn’t  until  later  that  he  found  his  distance  cousin  alex  but  by  then  he  had  already  found  family  in  those  closest  to  him  .   

         ‘  at  least  it  is  for  me  . ‘  he  added  .

🔮 ― she raised her hand at him. a surrender. “i’m not looking to poke holes,” she reassured, a relaxed look in her eyes. “i just know my list is lengthier than i get back, you know?” lucy was an estranged daughter, and an even more troubled cousin. surely she would see the man in a similar boat if she knew who he was. kin to the girl that hunted her down for a spell, only to off her after.. that could complicate the pleasantries, but answer a few unasked questions. “not that i’m not fine with that. i don’t have a lot worth dying over... so martyrdom sounds like a pretty sweet out for someone like me.”

“Really…thats…neat? Heavy stuff but I guess people are dicks even if you are nice to them.” He really wasn’t sure what to say about all that and he wasn’t quite ready to share the story of his death.

“Hey, I might be useless but at least I’m still good looking.” He said with a joking tone. “Listen, I’ll be honest. I’ve been out of the loop here. I think the mikaelson girl, Klaus’s daughter, has some sort of plan. And Bonnie is working on something. I’ll just be here to be a good human distraction when needed.”

🔮 ― “Mm, not in my book.” Her face scrunched teasingly. “Yeah?  And how old is she?” Lucy was still wrapping her head around being back. “Not that I’d be surprised if you have a seven-year-old doing the heavy lifting.” Her face softened, a smile threatening to spread at the mention of Bonnie. “How is she?” 

‘  family  isn’t  who  you’re  born  with  ,  it’s  who  you’d  die  for  .  ’
