 “This feels, like a cruelty more than anything.” the imprints of locksney village, everything in this tiny village from his past was acting as if nothing had happened. But he knows, that these are not real, that everything he see’s right now, is not real. 

 A child runs by, and his fists clench. 

“ Ah so one is a archer then,tis no surprise since becoming a bard often requires a job stone ” He says in a soft mumble for a moment,a hand coming up to gently rub at his chin in thought. The matter doesn’t change tho,the Miqo’te still had a interest on the other. Brown eyes glancing up at the other when he asked the question back

  “ Ah,one is a bit limited at it at the moment but I am a Paladin! ” He gives a gentle motion to the shield on his back and a half enthusiastic one to the wooden sword by his side

 “Well, I can’t say I heard that before.” the soft whisper was heard, living in a forest gives one the keenest sense of hearing that most city folks can ever hear. It was not something to be envious about when you can practically hear the whole city after all.

  “ Ah that is quite a interesting bow one has there! I take it you are a Bard? an Arche maybe if not? “ Brown eyes couldn’t avoid staring at the others bow for a moment,his tail slightly swaying behind him as his interest in the other was a bit high. 

Squints at with some suspicioun. 

  “A bard? I suppose I do know a few strings. But alas there isn’t enough talent to do it professionally. Or anywhere for that matter.” 

A pause. 

⚔️ //  byleth  blinked  ,  processing  the  man’s  words  before  ,  slowly  ,  the  corners  of  her  lips  quirked  upright  into  a  ghost  of  a  smirk.  ‘a  man  of  wit  ,  this  one,’ she  thought  ,  before  shaking  her  head. 

           “i  am  afraid  not.  and  …  that  is  without  first  considering  the  likelihood  in  which  you  might  find  them.  they  are  …  most  ELUSIVE.  it  seems  that  they  are  only  found  when  they  wish  to  be  found.  in  all  my  time  here  ,  i’ve  yet  to  hear  of  a  story  anyone  having  done  so.”

 “My, at least their smarter then the last one.” no offence to the evil queen, he is talking about the evil, queen, and then the green witch. and then everything else. There was so much done and now this happened, it was amazing he could keep his head straight for so long. 

 “Well, if they hide in a forest, I’m sure my skills can catch them. Perhaps.” He tries a joke, but fails to laugh in the end. The sheer brevity of this situation made him...angsty, a bit. 

“Huh? OH,” Lifting her gaze to the tree, Ismael hums and shakes her head after giving it much thought. “I don’t think so, actually. I mean, I haven’t seen anyone carving trees before, but I don’t know if the Stars will allow you to do something like that. You know, I actually got my bow, before it was modified at least from a marketplace. Maybe you can get your’s there as well?”

 “Why waste money when a well crafted, bow is just as good. Just give me a week and I can give you a bow as well.” 

His smile looks genuine but there was something a bit sad under it, after all being seperated from one child is never good for the person. 

The bow in his hands felt weak, brittle and easy to remake. He could break it, he could. But alas even in such a place, it was easy to remember no matter where you are, danger never rests. 

 “Its certainly ...larger then anything I seen.”

⚔️ // “a curse…” byleth murmured , bringing her hand to her face , deep in thought. eventually , after some deliberation , she shook her head. “no. not to my knowledge. however , there are beings known to the general populace as ‘stars’. they are said to govern this world. including bringing forth the eclipse that brought you here.”

“would it be too bold to assume then , that the other times a similar instance has happened to you , it was due to a meddling in the dark arts?”

 “Dark arts, well I’m certain a potion or two was involved. I’m no expert in magic, but I seen magic.” he wouldn’t actually what was classified as dark or not, since everything was up to how the person uses it. Much like his trusty boy, there is nothing more dangerous then a weapon,  a man, and a lack of morals. 

  “So, stars. That doesn’t scream god complex I suppose.” 

If there was anything that Robin of Locksney wanted again, it was a good boy. His enchanted boy, literal magic. But gone, stolen from him by some Gold Man. 

 “Aye, it would be nice to get a better boy. You think they let me find a better tree and carve up a bow from it. This one....the wood a wee bit brittle.”

He fiddles with the edge of his toy boy, somehow managing to sharpen it for a moment. Any good rouge would make the best of what they have, and if it can’t shoot properly, just jam it down someone throat. His voice is considerably cheerful despite the situation, or its just a facade. 

 “Tell me, is there some curse over this place that brings people in.”
