Monsters and their behaviors have changed plenty since the last time someone documented them. It's about time someone updated the available information on the different species.
Donald is typically found out in the woods, writing down information about the newly blossoming mamono realm forest he's found himself living in alongside Douglas. Having been monsterized himself, he's fascinated by the changes & process, and will happily talk about it at length.
Just be a bit wary of his teeth... They're almost as sharp as his tongue.
