i found the first, like, actual jegulus drabble that blatantly displayed reg's crush:-

Peter followed, but James stayed a moment longer, smiling genuinely.

Glaring, but admittedly more pink-cheeked than before, Regulus said to them, “It’s not.”

James waved awkwardly. “Er—cool… See you... around then…”

“That was really lame,” Remus whispered as they crossed back the way they'd come.

They’re in love it’s canon to me

sososos i might have reread TCOPTP yet again— and i found some hugeeeee jegulus crumbs AND THEORIES and need to rant abt it

So like through out the fic, motswolo is hinting at jegulus and teasing us with it— as we know. but i missed a pretty big part whilst telling u abt the crumbs initially, because as it turns out JAMES HAD A BIT OF A SEXUAL AWAKENING?? Idk how tf i filtered that out, but when James first finds out abt wolfstar and accidentally walks in on them kissing, he lowkey starts asking questions abt being gay and if it’s different and shit. Obvi wolfstar confront him abt it like “james…why’re u so curious?” and james lowkey panics and is all “IM JUST ASKING!!… and i have lily anyway so its wtv” BUTTR i do think this is meant to show us that James doesnt let himself explore his sexuality because he’s in love with Lily.

NOW i was once again desperate and sad because jegulus didnt happen, so i went to motswolo’s tumblr for the funzies and, as it turns out, THEY ARE WORKING ON A PART 2– well they were working on one, idk if they still are. Buttttt in the FAQ post they made, somebody asked wether the ship included will be jily jegulus or jegulily and— get this— THEY SAID IT COULD BE EITHER JILY… OR JEGULUS. HOLY MOLY. WHEN I TELL U I LOST MY COLLECTIVE SHIT I MEAN IT— UR TELLING ME THAT PERHAPS ALL THE BUILD UP COULD ACTIALLY MEAN SMTH??

I honestly think that the entire scene of “James’s suppressed sexual awakening” STRONGLY hints at the possibility of jegulus and am now praying to every deity ever that they happen in part 2 😭😭🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
