and what happens? she dies. she doesn't even get to see her mother one last time except in her drug induced haze. she dies AFTER she dared to hope. she dies as if it is the narrative punishing her for finally having something in reach.

i feel like killing off Rue with a fentanyl overdose when she's finally not a drug addict and she's so just looking forward to life is such a horrible horrible way to end the story. and it sends such a depressing message out, like even if you have hope, even if you feel like your life is getting back on track, if you're a drug addict or were a drug addict it will define you for the rest of your life and be the reason that takes away all your happiness and joy.

What I really love about this ‘mattress performance’ is that other students helped her carry her mattress across campus.

Rue & Jules

Yes! I’m very disappointed with what happened with their character arcs (or lack there of with Jules this season) but at least they found each other and this project sent their careers into the stratosphere. They’re bond is so cute. I hope an amazing filmmaker casts them in a movie together soon. That chemistry really shouldn’t go to waste. I would also love it if Z casted Hunter in her directorial debut (once she gets over the fear of directing) or maybe Hunter can write something for both of them to be in. Hunters pen on that special episode was sooo good. Let’s open up Final Draft again babe!
