♨┋ Su Liqin [蘇莉庆] is an ancient monkey demon who can hardly remember her birthday much less how many tens of centuries old she is. She’s a bigender [she/her/he/him], bisexual baddie and she would still be a bigender, bisexual baddie even if she wasn’t able to fluidly shift her presentation.
♨┋ Personality-wise he is irreverent and lackadaisical. His approach to life borders on hedonistic, following the line of thought that “If it feels good, it is good” assuming the act isn’t harmful to those around him. His ardor for leisure is something he shares. Everyone is invited to join him and those who do may be surprised to find how eager he is to tend to the needs of those around him. Nurturing in his own way.

♨┋ All the mischief one would expect of her kind Sun Wukong and Macaque sure have set a precedent, however, the events of her youth keep her contained in her domain. Her home is a volcanic hot spring inspired by the real life Jiuzhaigou Valley. It’s a neutral ground, staunchly free of conflict, where demons, mortals, and celestial beings of all kinds safely relax.
♨┋ It is said that thousands of years ago a stumbling servant in the heavens dropped the pit of an immortal peach. It fell down to the earth below, dropping into a hot spring, and the waters were then blessed with the power to heal any wound or ailment. Alongside this gift came a guardian, a monkey demon who named himself Su Liqin. All those who enter the gateway to his domain find their powers sealed and their strength sapped. Mortals and Immortals alike stand on equal ground here. Su Liqin is the only one who may retain his powers on the grounds of the spring.
♨┋ Su Liqin has an arsenal of abilities that somewhat reflects that of the other simian characters in LMK/JTTW. She can shapeshift into certain animals as well as altering her form according to taste. Like most demons she has super strength and speed, however, her three best known abilities would be her prowess as a healer, her control over the temperature within a set space, and her ability to water vapor- traveling upon the wind. All of her powers stem from her connection to the healing spring.
♨┋ Above I mentioned that Liqin is contained in his domain and… he is. A youth spent wandering around and having fun meant that, for a time, the healing spring fell into disrepair and into the hands of less well meaning individuals. Upon a return visit he saw his home in a sorry state and for the following three days and three nights he battled off greedy demons. His failure as the spring’s defender meant a heavy punishment for Liqin and a curse was laid upon him. From then on, if Su Liqin left the spring for more than three days it would dry up… and he would die with it.
♨┋As you can imagine, Liqin has been very attentive since then. Her rules against conflict at the hot spring are fiercely upheld. Those that cause damage to her home are forced into servitude until they pay back the debt incurred by their unruly behavior. Disturbance of the peace, on any level, could mean getting kicked out and banned from the spring… unless she really likes you.
