It's funny how something so insignificant can throw something so far out of balance.
I spent my night talking to my former rp partner. I talk to them once every month or two, because we truly were close. We had a wonderful connection, ic and ooc, and there's nothing that will change that. I've adored this person since I first met them, since my very first rp profile. Our meeting is one that I'll never forget. I still consider them one of my closest friends, despite hardly talking to each other. But this doesn't mean they're my number one or otherwise.
But there is a difference between ooc and ic, and I know what that is, for me. Just because I miss someone, does not mean my current muse does. My current muse doesn't even know who this person is so this irrational fear that I'm going to up and leave if they ever return- which they will not because their main focus is on their girlfriend and studies- is something that should not even be entertained as an idea. My muse is with who they are, and I would not stoop so low to leave someone for someone else. Not even for a former rp partner.
I feel so goddamn depleted and exhausted right now, especially having worked 18 hours in the last 30, that I honestly don't feel like being here at all. But no, here I am, having to explain one single little post. I work another 8 hours tomorrow and I'm up extra early on Thursday, as well as 9 more on Friday, where I also close. I need to be up and ready by 9 on Saturday for a job orientation, and then I go out of state until Sunday afternoon, hence my hiatus. I don't have the time, or quite frankly, the energy to be here this week. And with that, I may or may not lurk and queue shit. Do not disturb.
