flashback to when i worked at a dry cleaning place. a lot of old rich guys came in and very few people were bad enough for me to remember… but there was this guy. his clothes weren’t pressed right (a small wrinkle in the inside of his blazer i’m not even kidding) and wanted a redo. cool, awesome, redos are free it will be done monday (it was saturday night, like an hour before we closed)
he gets on me saying he needs them done tomorrow morning for church. sorry sir, we don’t have dry cleaners here on the weekends period. there is physically no way for me to get your clothes repressed. you can bring them in after church tomorrow and we will still redo them for free, if you would like!
this goes on for over thirty minutes, him asking over and over and over again and me say no! i physically cannot do that!!!! he ends up threatening me, and in my brain’s ever amazing defense mechanism of forgetting, i have completely forgotten what he said to me. i unfortunately vividly remember yelling “what is fucking wrong with you?!” he did NOT like that and took his clothes without paying
i start crying because i think i fucked up and i’m gonna get fired. a nice woman in the laundromat part of the build comes over and say that that guy was wildly rude and definitely threatening me and that her husband is a cop. she gave me his number and then another guy said he has a concealed carry permit if he comes back (holy shit)
the guy comes back and STARTS TAKINF PICTURES OF ME THROUGH THE WINDOW. i mockingly take pictures of him while i’m still crying because what the hell???? the woman notices and say “nope, i’m calling my husband that is so disrespectful”
so the cops show up and interrogate this guy. the OWNER comes and starts asking me why the hell theres cops everywhere (he specifically said “what did you do” so okay THANKS CONNOR)
connor spends like over an hour talking to the cops about how disrespectful the guy was being. taking pictures of an underage girl (this guy is wildly conservative i was NEVER coming out to him) and stealing his clothes. after the cops leave to talk to the guy again, connor corners me and tells me to NEVER yell at a customer. i meekly apologize and the woman (bless her heart) STANDS UP FOR ME! she tells my manager that the guy was being wildly aggressive and i was obviously getting irritated. yelling was understandable in this situation
anyways i still got written up for it
