Sometimes just when I think that I am going to For The Invisible to spread the love that God gives me, I get twice as much in return. Julisa is a second girl and her love for her family and everyone she meets is so heart wrenching. By the world's standards, I am supposed to be the 'teacher' but I have learned more about love and mercy and grace and acceptance in East Park than anywhere else in the world. I couldn't and wouldn't want to imagine where my life would be without my brothers and sisters in Christ from East Park. Thank you Julisa for melting my heart every week I come to your house.

So this seems cliché but today was such an amazing day and I feel so blessed by all the friendships that I have. Woke up from a sleepover with my best friend. I saw over 100 people be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ this morning at Willow Creek! Taking that leap ad proclaiming that your life is no longer yours is one of the biggest steps a person can take! I am so proud of everyone who was baptized today and came up from the water truly cleansed by the one and only King! After lots of emotions and hugs and new beginnings, I was able to have lunch with one of the most compassionate guys that I will ever meet in my life. This guy, through God changed my life completely! I could've sat at Noodles and Company with him for hours on end, talking about life and love and friends and church and Jesus and family and anything and everything. I feel so blessed that God provided me with some time to catch up with a handful of my friends who went off the college this past August. To end my day, I got to bring a birthday present to the girl I babysit for during the week and to hang out with their family for an hour! That is my home away from home and my heart has melted for their family and to see their smiling faces was so much fun! I have THE best job ever, helping the future of the world grow! From the church sermon to the baptism to getting lunch with a bff to bringing a smile to a little girls face to those intentional text messages with none other than GOD at the center, my day was amazing and crazy and hectic and overwhelming and indescribable and emotional and everything in between.
