Living Nostalgia

These pictures were taken outside BBC Television Station.

The man petting David is Barry Langford, who was then a producer for BBC. Langford had ordered David and his group-mates to cut their hair, otherwise they would be barred from performing on "Gadzooks" (the show that Langford produced.)

David declined to do so and organized a demonstration at BBC Television Centre. After all, they were allowed to perform under the stipulation that if anyone complains about their performance, their pay would instead be donated to charity. They agreed, performed, and there were no complaints.
