You stretch your arms forward and yawn. It was a very tiring day for you. There were more patients than usual today. You step out of your cabin and go to the locker room to change your scrubs. And walk towards the reception "Y/n, your husband is here", the receptionist smiled. "See you on Monday" you say to her.

You find Erwin reading the newspaper at the waiting area. His eyes beam the moment he sees you. He was looking at his favorite person. The two of you silently walk to the parking.

" How was your day?", asked the handsome man as he started the car.

"Very hectic", you rub your forehead.

"If you're too tired, we can cancel the dinner date", his ocean blue eyes showed a hint of sadness even though his lips were still curled up in a beautiful smile.

"No, " you turn your head to look at him " I know how eagerly you wait for Friday nights,  I can't take that from you"

"Alright then", the blond focuses on the road, "we'll go home so you can change."

Being as tired as you are, you doze off before you could say anything.  He slows the car down a bit and looks at you. Your beautiful (h/c) hair is tied into ponytail, a few strands of hair falls over your forehead. He leans over slightly, his veiny hands gently caressing your forehead as he tucks those stray hairs behind your ear.

It's a bright and sunny day. Just perfect for a wedding.

"Y/n L/n", the name on the chair read, you sit down.

You adjust your lovely (favorite color) dress as you look at all the bohemian wedding decorations. "I wonder when the lunch will start", you're already starting to get hungry, "skipping breakfast was a bad idea".

As you're looking at the decorations, a tall,  muscular, blond man sits down in front of you, completely blocking your view. "Oh great"! Throughout the wedding, all you see is this wall of a man right in front of you.

The vows were said out loud and the wedding, sealed with a kiss.

You wished the couple a happy married life and were about to leave, since you didn't want to miss your flight back home, when your friend asked you a favor.

"This is Proff. Erwin Smith, he taught us history in college".

He extends his hand towards you, "y/n L/n"

A firm hand shake.

"Oh yeah, he majored in history", you think to yourself.

"He also has to reach the airport ASAP, but couldn't get a taxi, so we'd be really grateful if he could share the taxi with you".

"You haven't changed a bit" you look at your friend and smile, "I can always count you, y/n"

You look at the ocean blue eyes of the blond and smile.

"C'mon, let's get going"

After a few minutes of awkward silence in the car, the handsome man finally tries to break the ice. " So, how long have you known him?" You turn to look at him, and observe the features on his face, his perfect jawline, his Roman nose, his blue eyes and those thick eyebrows.

"Since he was a baby", you tuck a lock of hair behind your ears. "He's the youngest son of my mom's best friend and my  friend's brother"

"Oh"! The blond was rather surprised.

"I see".

After this the car was filled with more awkward silence. And then the taxi driver turned the radio on and it played "Can't stop falling in love"..

"It's one of my favorites"

Erwin sang along and you loved this song just as much

And then you started seeing each other, after dating for two years you decided to get married. 

Present day

"Hey, we're here", he gently touches your shoulder to wake you up.

You sigh "I think I'll take a shower first".

You just walk into your house and then straight to the shower.

The warm water touches your skin and soothes your body. You want to leave the shower so that you can get ready but it's so comfortable that you just stay there for a while.  Finally, feeling a bit fresh, you turn the shower to turn it off and dry yourself up with a towel.

Wrapping the towel over yourself, you step out into your bedroom. On the bed is a red, satin spaghetti dress, with a pair of small gold earrings, studded with red rubies with a matching necklace.

Drying off your hair quickly, you put on the dress and the earrings. The thigh high slit reveals your toned right leg. You rummagethroughyour wardrobe to finda suitable jacket and put it on, the temperature goes down at night, winter is fast approaching.

"You will not need that", Erwin crosses his arms and leans on the bedroom door.

"Umm..okay" you put the jacket back.

"Come", he turned and you follow.

You're surprised when, instead of going outside, he walks towards the balcony.

"Dinner date doesn't always mean going out", Erwin turned to face you smile spreading across his lips. Your eyes widen when you see what Erwin has done for you.  "You're too tired, so this seemed like the best course of action". Your faces lit from the light of the candles. You tear up at this beautiful moment Erwin has given you. Although he has always been there for you, you never expected a gesture so grand, from the usually stoic Erwin.
