fun fact, i wrote an abnormal number of posts (more than 1) about tickling levi. i put lots of thoughts there, so ill go light here, but he IS oh-so ticklish.
as opposed to apparently the most popular viewpoint? - i think levi softens up a lot after the war. he thinks it's pathetic so he won't say it out loud, but he almost wishes he'd appreciated "childish" times like this before he gained more aches and lost a lot of his mobility. i came up with something else just now and i will say he only remembers after the war that his mama would playfully attack him with tickles when he was little...
another hot take i have is that clinginess is a core trait of his. deep attachments come naturally. he just didn’t allow himself to show it before. and i mean, he buried that aspect completely and utterly.
that’s why it’s definitely out in full force after the war. he appreciated quality time together before, but at this point he’ll even offer to spend time together or do little activities. it also helps, as there’s a part of him that wants to isolate and be alone.
but yeah, he’s allll about cuddling. just feeling your arms around him is enough. he’s not good at instigating it - at all, but still.
Random but what do you guys think Levi’s handwriting would look like? I’ve always hc’d that he has small but uniform handwriting and that you have to sort of squint to read it the first few times
I like to think that right before he kisses you, Levi takes his time. When you’re so close to him he can feel you with all his senses. Your breathing, your smell, your skin, your warmth. His eyes roam your face while his thumb brushes your cheek, his other hand playing with your hair. You’d think he’d get straight to it like he does with everything else; but no, it’s one of the few things he loves to savor.
Okay but how about Levi with a partner whose family welcomes him in like he's a part of them and are very warm and loving with him. What then. Do we cry now?

he wouldn’t know how to react, not even just at first but for a while :( people who (in short) never became accustomed to a warm family environment struggle a LOT with accepting that warmth if it ever appears later on. doesn't lean into hugs, and easily gives off the impression that he doesn't like your family despite it being the opposite.
it'd be hard to accept, it'd take some time. he’d be extremely uncomfortable because of the newness.
he never got the opportunity to experience unconditional love either - save only his mother - so he’d be subconsciously searching for said conditions because it’s too good to be true. good old fashioned self sabotage.

Girl dad levi would be great at doing his daughters hair. Any type of braid she wants, he learns. He loves putting bows on her. As long as she lets him.
Will drive her and her friends around to the mall, take them to concerts, be the parent that goes to the concert to make sure they’re safe.

i feel like levi learned a lot from his mother when he was so young, and she did his hair a lot. levi HATED getting it cut because it tangled easily, especially when it got long, so it hurt a lot lol. and like they only had one brush and she didn’t like levi using it because because i headcanon she had a bit of a streak that separated clean from dirty things. so he’s really good at styles of braids and stuff like that :)))
levi is typically tough but fair, BUT he’d secretly let a lot of things slide… including concerts. he’s an overprotective nancy though✅

In modern!au Levi would be obsessed with saving every existing pic of you in his gallery. He has to get his hands on any photo of yours not taken by him. You post a story? Screenshot, with a simple “send me this later.” You snap a selfie of you both with your phone, he instantly asks that you airdrop it. You take a random pic of yourself while checking your mascara, same. Random videos of your outfits to consult with your friends, he wants them too. Your Snapchat notifications are all, “levi replayed your snap. levi saved your snap in chat. levi saved to camera roll.” He just doesn’t want to miss anything. Every expression needs to be saved. Every moment and memory and smile and funny face. And he does go back to them too. More often than he would like to admit though. But you caught him more than once.
