I. Synthesis                “The Department of Health (DOH) will no longer push through with its plan to distribute condoms in schools following the Department of Education’s (DepEd) decision to block the DOH initiative. The distribution of condoms will continue to take place in health centers now that the DepEd has made a decision.” ―Philippine Daily Inquirer

II. Pros and Cons                          The Department of Health (DOH) planned a program of distribution of condoms in schools. . The program aims to provide services to improve condom access. The DepEd assured to improve and develop sex education in the country.  In spite of that, the Department of Education (DepEd) disagreed which Briones said that they will follow the guidelines on reproductive health, including the requirements of the Constitution and the law and to improve the curriculum. However, the distribution of condoms will continue at health centers

III. Reflection (Insights)                 As a student we know that implementing this kind of program in our schools is not a good idea to stop HIV and STD’s, though it would but it must not have distributed in schools. It is like the DOH is more of promoting premarital sex than preventing HIVs and STDs. As a person and as a Filipino citizen, I think that it would be better if they distribute the condoms to places or communities that is over populated and needs to be controlled.
