This year a few of my friends & I decided to take on Chicago on Saturday to celebrate St. Patrick. (suicide mission? possibly)

Now, if you’ve never been to Chicago on the day of the St. Patrick’s Day parade – you haven’t full experienced the shit show that should be Saint Patrick’s Day everywhere.

They turn the Chicago River BRIGHT green & have a parade down Congress. (consider yourself lucky if you get to see one of these things & you’re a pro if you get to catch both.)

Now the real party starts after the parade in Wrigleyville! Well, by party I mean this…

You can hardly walk down Clark street… && to all those brave souls that decided to drive down Clark Saturday, I applaud you.

Wanna go down with a big group of people like we did (10 of us)? You are guaranteed to lose at least 1/2 the group and are a champion if you get home with someone else you went out with. I’m pretty sure we ended up in 4 different groups.

Oh & you think you want to get to the bars around 3pm? HA! You’ll be waiting in line to get in anywhere for at least an hour. Unless your friend decides it’s a good idea to just run through the front door, past the mod of screaming people & bouncers – then you’re good.

But the days you can hardly remember are always the best ones right?
