Friendly reminder my little bunnies there is no wrong way to play! Alot of people talk about relearning how to play and it can be a long irritating process! But please remember learning how to play dosent mean learing to like a certain type of play but learning how YOU like to play. If your having a hard time and arent haveing fun with one type of play move onto another and try something new!For a while I thought I was odd for not likeing pretend play and thought I had to learn to like it. But through learning how I like to play and what i respond to more positively was sensory play! Play can look like alot of things other then just imaginary play. This can look like scavenger hunts,hands on play like chalk,blocks,and building toys. Sorting by color,number,or shape. Visual stim toys and sensory toys. I feel like im haveing the most fun when small when I get to feel all diffrent types of sensory sensations. Compared to things like tea parties. So remember friends there is no wrong way to play!

It’s okay if your regression doesn’t look like their regression. You’re doing your best.

🪀 It's totally normal if your version of play looks different. Lining up toys, taking pictures of toys, or however else you choose to play, is just as valuable as playing pretend

🩹 Accomodating yourself is a must! Don't force yourself to communicate or behave in ways that are more palatable to others. Use your aids! (Text-to-speech devices, Communication cards, Blue light glasses- whatever helps YOU)

🍼 There is nothing wrong with being small. Life is hard enough for autistic people. Please give yourself grace and allow your age regression to help you when it can ❤️‍🩹
