Hi!🧡👋🦊 Call me kitofthedoe, Kit, kiddo, bub, little one, or tot! I'm a little that's getting better at exploring and letting myself regress, especially with my mommy, my irl partner, who is also my cg. She's the love of my life and protects me and this blog! 🧸

I am an adult when big (29 years), and seem to range between around 4-12 when small.

So the first time I went to visit my Mama Doe, which in case you don't know we are long distance (North America and Europe), I contracted covid.

This was in 2022, so I was ofc fully vaccinated, but I still got super super sick. This could have been super scary, given I was in a foreign country visiting my partner for the first time. It was don't get me wrong, but Mama Doe never let me feel unsafe.

She would wrap me in blankets, get me inhalers to help with my cough, she kept me hydrated and fed, she would hold me as I was coughing and miserable. I was so sick. She would keep me entertained. We'd watch movies when I could focus.

I was also upset because most of our plans had to be canceled because, obviously, I wasn't going to go out with it and risk others. But she would help me find all these little moments of joy even while everything else felt overwhelming.

I remember one point after I recovered, we sat in the kitchen. It was raining outside, and I crawled into her lap in the chair she was in, chest to chest, my head over her shoulder. It felt like finding my missing puzzle piece.

I think that's when I knew for sure, without a doubt that she was not just my person, my partner, and the love of my life, but my Mama Doe. She let me be small, scared, overwhelmed, and held me through it. Kept me safe.

I always look back on that first visit whenever there's a struggle or hurdle: First time we were together, we survived the plaque, and she protected me without a moment of hesitation.

I'm incredibly loved, and I have an incredible partner/cg/mommy who came into my life on her own honestly.

We didn't meet in this community even, and we started as friends, believe it or not. I didn't come out to her as little until much later, but I tend to regress with people I trust, and I'm very comfortable with, so it wasn't a surprise to her once I put a label on it.

My best advice is, and it's gonna sound cliché: Be yourself. ideally, you want your person, be it a romantic partner, platonic caretaker, or something else or combination thereof, to like you as you are, so be yourself! It's the oldest advice, but trust me, when you feel vulnerable with regressing, you want someone that looks at you and goes: "You're adorable." 🥹🧡

So mommy helped me today when I was shopping, I've been cramping and craving iron rich food, because of my cycle.

My diet is kind of restricted due to intolerance, from suspected mild-ish Alpha-gal syndrome, where I get super sick when I eat red meat or anything mammalian.

This means the obvious choices for iron (steak or liver etc.), aren't an option for me (Chicken liver is great fyi. It's just not an option at my local supermarket).

In comes mommy! So mommy and I are long distance around 6 months of the year and have been for years, so we're pretty comfortable just chatting, calling, etc. So she's hanging out with me on my phone and headphones as I'm shopping, streaming a YouTube video while I peruse.

Then I text her: I need help. Iron rich foods safe for me?

Mommy gets right to work. Google, biology knowledge, the whole thing.

Soon, she's figured out what I can have. (Chicken, clams, chickpeas, leafy greens, strawberries, etc. etc.) plus acid rich foods to help me absorb it.

She helps me put together a little dinner together on the go, something that I can just make a little nibble plate with, and get my iron with.

All while being on my phone.

I'm trying to illustrate that long distance isn't always a deal breaker or counter to a cg/little relationship, and there are many ways of being a cg.

In our relationship, I don't set alarms unless it's backups in case we get disconnected. Mommy has it handled.

Timers? Halfway across the world, a timer is ticking for my chicken nuggets on mommy's phone.

Struggling in a video game? Mommy will help, find a guide, a map.

These methods are free. They are bonding for us. They are a way to be together and share our bond without being together in real space.

Just wanted to share and hopefully inspire a lil 🫶
