Me when talking about the books to new Percy Jackson fans who have only watched the show:

God I love Narita's writing so much. The way he breathes life into characters and their setting rock so much. None of them are static; by that, I mean. They're always moving to do something you, as the audience, get a small glimpse into that in such fun ways. He has a Chekhov machine gun set up with setup twists within twists. The people who animate and draw his work know this. Like a character you just happen to see in the background a few times could be a major player in the game. When it hits you that they are so many things come into place, it's insane. The mystery of the Rain Tracers and everything that is Dollars is a prime example of that. That is to say, please, for the love of good, read and watch dead mount death play. Also, read and watch later this year Fate/Strange Fake (yes he wrote for fate and yes its nutty too.) If nothing else read/watch it cause one of the characters is a patchwork BLÅHAJ
