My point is that the cat joke was very insensitive considering Eddie’s situation and that I don’t think he would have made it if he knew that her cat was that sick. You would think that she would have mentioned something to him in all those numerous but secret times they have gotten together according to some people.

We all know that she is so paranoid by what the fandom thinks about her interactions with S that she thinks that hiding them helps when in fact it makes them even more weird but that is on them and the messed up relationship they have.

Agree optics matter, but since neither he nor anyone close offered congrats for her engagement either and that was bad optics too, I'm thinking that's what Cait wanted.

I am not sure how sick the cat was before the end, like I said, Cait was in London for weeks, not rushing home to see the dying cat...she didn't mention to Amanda that the cat was on her death bed...so...and it's not imaginary, there is a pic of Sam and Cait getting together in London...

I think that the reason many friends didn’t publicly congratulate her for her engagement is because she didn’t publicly spoke about it until it was time to do promo for s4, which is actually when S congratulated her about it with the same enthusiasm one says I have hemorrhoids.

I don’t think that friends and family would choose to express condolences over SM because they will have probably do it in “person”.

And sorry I find her close friends not saying anything either about the cat passing odd too

Karolina loves pets and Eddie but also...nothing

They are all public figures and have been known to comment and congratulate Cait on other occasions but comment on the death of the cat? No

And don't tell me those busy bodies Mark and James couldn't say anything

That is NOT how adults with differing political opinions behave. That’s how children behave. Thanks for proving my point that Trump supporters can’t handle the fact that they are lumped in with that man’s behaviour. You don’t like being thought of as a racist? THEN DON’T SUPPORT A RACIST FOR PRESIDENT. 

I will say this out loud - In my opinion, if you support Donald Trump after seeing what he’s done to your country in the last four years, after seeing what he’s done to America’s reputation among world leaders, after seeing how he treats immigrants, women, people of colour, after listening to him admit that money and the economy was more important that 206,000 lives, after watching him act like a childhood playground bully - if you support his policies and his actions - 

You’re probably a racist and you need to do some soul searching.

Thanks for sharing although not sure the last line was necessary.  Some people really just don’t understand the industry because they have had no reason to before this.   You don’t know what you don’t know. It’s those that refuse to believe it that creates frustration.

But your point gets at the heart of an anon that @mama-tumblz answered last week.  It’s not just about “getting sacked” even though we know that Sam has stated that as a fear more than once.  It’s about what happens behind the scenes to prevent that audition, that job offer.  There is an old book out there called “You’ll Never EatLunch in this Town Again”.  I don’t think much has changed.

During the intense part of #MeToo when all the Weinstein stuff was coming to light, Oscar winner Mira Sorvino said she lost out on roles in Lord of the Rings, amongst others because of Weinstein telling Peter Jackson and other directors that she was unstable and hard to work with.  He did the same to Ashley Judd and others.  It’s still an (old boy’s) club and just like they can help get auditions, they can make sure that you are never even considered.

Noel said yesterday that he and Sam are at the stage where they can choose roles versus you take every job offer you get.  I’m not so sure Sam feels he’s there yet.  (Partly because of Outlander’s schedule and partly because he knows what it is like to not have money.)  The reflection he did over the last couple of months may have been that the intense schedule he was on was not worth it.  He admitted to being burned out yesterday (think about what he did in about 18 months with Outlander, GGC, MIK, MPC, Bloodshot, SAS, For Olivia, etc.)  I hope he reflected on the control of his personal life too but I also think he reflected on his need to slow down.   He also said he liked the producing and creating because you have more control.
