This isn’t a costume or cosplay per se, but I did seize the house arrest to make some fairy wings out of 4 dry cleaning hangars, two pieces of sketchbook paper, some packing tape, and a set of battery-powered twinkle lights.Â
Since it was originally to be part of a healer costume for LARPing, I figured the title is appropriate given my role IRL and in-game.

I came to a Star Wars themed holiday party dressed as dark side (my right) vs. light side (my left) Rey, without even realizing it (I was originally going for a Kylo/Rey hybrid).Â

I was originally wanted to make it exactly, but decided reconstructing an inexpensive labcoat on hand into a modern cut gave me enough of the look without exactly being costume-y, keeping it Parks-friendly. As an added bonus, it's lightweight and not too warm!

This cosplay was made literally one line at a time as I would add one stripe of paint at a time while wearing the completed catsuit then do flashcards for an hour until it dried (in shape to myself).Â

These rules are slightly relaxed around Dapper Days, where twice a year fans flock the park dressed in their (often old-timey) best, very frequently in DisneyBound versions of Dapper outfits - otherwise known as the DapperBound.Â
“True” Cap was not a fan of seeing me alive and still storming about with my metal arm, however dolled up that may be. He did, however, request a hug.

In case it’s hard to appreciate the ratchet-ness of this costume, I ordered a halloween black-fringe table-edge-runner thing and cut that and attached it to my sleeves and jeans for the full fringe effect. This for a party with classmates that spent eight hours a day in my presence, who literally didn’t know whose plus-one I was for the first half-hour.Â
