About the Subconscious

It’s like a black and gray world based off wherever the bad memory or event happen

Example Thomas saw an old friend who asked what he does for a living and felt bad and questioned his youtube career, Roman would have to deal with these thoughts in a dark version of where Thomas and his friend was

Certain problems and have a mix of different places mashed together

The monsters can be giant black creatures to actually people if that person is causing a lot of issues on Thomas self esteem

Roman feels the tugging of the subconscious “calling” him before he gets pulled down, so he tends to lie and make an excuse to go back into his room, there has been a couple times where he couldn’t make it and claimed to disappear on a quest because this the others sides think he can be a bit rude.

Time doesn’t stop but it does slow down, something that feels like 6 hours will only be 6 minutes. It’s extremely hard on Roman physically and mentally

Roman has to fight whenever Thomas starts to question himself in the negatives “Is youtube really a job?” “Am I really good enough?” so on.

Well alot of the time it was done when Roman was in the closet and they’d tell him things like “He’s just a little” “He’s younger than you he doesn’t know any better” Everyone knows that Logan has a temper, and when he’s little he tends to have terrible temper tantrums that more often than not is focused on Roman.

When they discover Roman is a little too they tend to scold Logan more, but his caretaker(s) tend to be pushovers who let Logan get away with it. Deceit will give the boy a giant lecture however.

Because of this Lil Roo is a bit nervous about playing with Lil Lo because it’s not uncommon the second something doesn’t go Little Logan’s way for a big temper tantrum to happen

Roo doesn’t really like Christmas time, it’s a very stressful time for him, Big Roman tends to overwork himself making the best of the best of gifts, just making everyone else have the perfect Christmas that Lil Roo gets extremely sensitive and crybaby around this time, because if he’s little that means he’s not doing one of the many things has to do to make sure everyone has a good Christmas and if they have a bad Christmas it’s his fault!!!

His Da’dee while not a fan of Christmas he’s a scrooge enjoys using the excuse of making holiday cookies to get Roman to spend more time with him. When Roman is overworking himself he tends to shut himself off from his Da’Dee (because Dee can always make him feel little) And of course by the end of the holiday cookie baking, Roman will be little.

Little Logan will end up throwing a temper tantrum until the puppet is removed from his sights. Multiple times he had in his fit ended up destroying the puppet or “accidentally” hurt the side with the puppet. Since Logan is pretty violent with his temper tantrums throwing hitting and etc. A big issue is Roman’s puppets and Logan. The big reason why Roman doesn’t have much puppets is Logan has destroyed most of the human ones (which didn’t upset Roman that much because he didn’t really care about his human ones and he rarely played with them since Dee is afraid of them) but Loo has also destroyed many of his stuffed animal puppets which always end up with Roo sobbing and screaming. They end up in a big fight that will last for days after Loo destroys one of his stuffed animal puppets and refuses to say sorry. If little Patton’s puppet is destroyed he’ll cry a little bit, but forgive Logan (without him even saying sorry) and even say sorry to Logan for upsetting him with his puppet (because Patton is an angel)

Deceit on the other hand, if it’s not one of Roman’s stuffed animal puppets completely freaks out as a little. Starts loudly crying, he’s likely to go to Roman, even if Roo is little at the moment because Roman understands him the best and Roman even if little will protect him.

Patton - As a caretaker or little adores all forms of puppets. As a little he loves making paper puppets like the one he was in the episode and sock puppets

Deceit - Everyone thinks he would like puppets and the fact everyone thinks he likes puppets because he’s a “bad manipulative” guy makes him hate them even more. But, more importantly he is scared of puppets. Mostly human themed puppets. He likes full body animal puppets, the ones that are basically stuffed animals with moving mouths. But, he still rather no puppets. Due to this fear of puppets he decided not to even show up for the video. 

Virgil - Has no big feelings on puppets. but will play and make puppets with Patton

Logan - As a big he finds them pointless, even after the episode he doesn’t fully get why people like puppets so much besides it’s easy to say things not as yourself. Which it self he doesn’t really get. But as a little he hates puppets. Not as much as Deceit, he has a little bit of fear (again not as bad as Deceit) they make him feel a sense of  unease

Roman - When he’s big Roman likes puppets (not as much as Patton) but as a little he adores them very much. It’s one of the only ways any caretaker can get a upset Roman to express why. Words tend to be hard for Roo, and he finds it easier to express himself though puppet. His favorite kind is full body stuffed animal hand puppets (which is a big reason why Deceit doesn’t mind them so much) Roman has a interest in marionette puppets (mostly animals) but they are too complex for him. While he does play with human puppets, the kind he was mostly, he prefers animals dressed up as people cause it’s cuter. His favorite is a bunny puppet that has a princess dress and crown.

 He appeared in his room (while Thomas was still in his bedroom)

Fell right onto the bed

Cried in pain for hours before wearing himself out

He wet the bed

No matter what he tried he couldn’t act adult

He spent the whole day sucking his thumb cuddling his blanket in a wet bed

Because he was too scared to leave his room and he didn’t remember he could just make the sheets clean with his powers (he tends to forget about his powers when in littlespace

It was terrifying for Roo

He was much younger than normal

So Roo couldn’t even move or anything really.

Sadly that’s not it, Turned out to be Losing My Motivation. Logan says “Ah! I think I see a spider behind you” Roman jumps and says “what” his face clearly unease! Which is why I think he has a fear of spiders as well! https://youtu.be/tXvAHDpmrHI?t=251

Favorite would be ether Trick or Treating, or just the every day costume. Roo sometimes feel shy about not wearing his prince outfit, because everyone expects him to be a prince. But, during Halloween month, he can be anything. Before he came out as a little or came out as genderfluid (even though he uses male pronouns) he was that guy who was always dressing up in childish costumes and crossdressing because it was “funny” dressing up as different types of princesses a lot of the time because it’s “funny” for the prince guy to be dressed up as a princess. Now with Dee’s encouragement, he dresses up as a lot of different things and doesn’t feel nervous about being in “girl” costumes!

A lot (lot lot lot) of working on Halloween costumes together during September (if not earlier) since they need a lot costumes lol)

Dee makes sure to do all the human activities, since they like to use the dreamspace to be a normal “human” family to just get away. Being side and not human can get hard sometimes. They do it all haunted houses (due to fighting inner demons / nightmares they don’t really scare Roman but if they accidentally end up triggering Roo (being or looking too similar to one of the baddies he had to fight) the dream!people are always ready to break character and help Deceit calm Roo down

Playing in the leafs of course, hayrides,

Corn mazes now have very strict rules where Roo has to wear a toddler harness and leash so they don’t get split up and lost. Like that one time, where Roo got lost and forgot he had the most control of the dreamspace than anyone and could have gotten out but instead ended up regressing even younger. Being found by Deceit a crying mess who had ended up with a horse voice

All the Halloween movies all them (good ones, while Horror movies don’t really scare Roo he doesn’t like them because they upset him. He doesn’t like seeing people get hurt like that!)

Baking Halloween themed treats (lots of pumpkin spice flavored stuff), Deceit is good at cooking and baking, not as great as Patton, but he’s good at it. Roo is terrible but likes helping his dadee

Halloween candles, Roo loves candles (he’s not allowed to lit them or be near them) the smells tend to really help him, since he has very strong senses and candles can help calm him down or make him happy. Virgil ended up stealing his Cat Candle that when it fully melted revealed a metal cat skeleton. Because Dee doesn’t like Roo near fires he uses cute holders all year round, October of course gets Halloween themed ones though. Spider themed ones are a big no, because while Big Roman will kill spiders for Patton he still has a slight fear of them (there is a vid where when told there is a spider behind him he jumps I think??? Can’t remember which if anyone knows please message me) His favorite holder is haunted mansion holder that when the candle is burning you can see a tiny ghost in one of the windows. Roman loves looking at in and even tells stories about their little ghost friend. His favorite halloween candle is Pumpkin Spice, Deceit’s is Witches’ Brew

Patton - It’s common for him to go as a cat, dog, Winnie the Pooh, etc. If Virgil is little and going as a cat, he’ll always go as a cat as well. Dogs tend to be what he does when he’s little because his caretaker pushes him towards that since he’s such a hyper puppy behavior wise.

Logan - Sherlock Holmes, he’ll go as different versions of Sherlock every year, but it’s always Sherlock. Big or Little, its the one time of year he doesn’t seem weird (to himself) dressing up as the detective

Virgil - I feel like he’d ether be a black cat with an adorable black cat hoodie or a bat with one of those bat hoodies that when you lift the arms there is wing webs between the arm space. The accent color on ether costumes would be purple of course!

Deceit - Roo forces him to dress up everyday which is okay because Dee loves Halloween too. As a big he dresses up to partner with Roo, (if Roman is Red Riding Hood Dee is the big bad wolf) as a little his outfits are more snake / dragon based
