i’m glad that many people are seemingly accepting of the fact that autism is a spectrum but for some reason they still seem to believe that they can place where someone is on the spectrum like on a scale from not that autistic to very autistic (and it’s like you can’t really know that. i honestly don’t even think psychologists can know that.) and then they make the mistake of assuming that because an autistic person has a witty and knowing sense of humor or is good at identifying subtext in media that the same sense applies to social cues but it doesn’t and then they get mad. at a person they know to be autistic. for being autistic
